@Nerd_ula There’s charm to it’s simplicity just like sableye. Yea they couldve done something elaborate but i feel like that couldve very easily come out really tacky and starmie itself is very basic in its design anyways.

@lilmisspeggie Like dont get me wrong i enjoy the new designs mostly, but they definitely stepped away from the whole “awaken your pokemons primal fighting instincts” that mega pokemon are supposed to represent in their designs.

@lilmisspeggie The new batch of megas are more reminiscent of g-max forms, they’re pretty goofy and have minimal design changes. People wanted and expected designs more reminiscent of what we got from past paradox pokemon as they are more aesthetically what mega evolution was about originally

@SkemorTTV Original concept for megas is that it was a painful process for the Pokemon and that came through with the designs. Lucario looks battle scarred and has literal spikes protruding. They definitely wanted to make them less edgier this time around to make them more “PG” im assuming
