The weight-room is special because it only rewards those that work. It values tenacity over talent. It doesn’t care about ⭐️’s or playing time. It’s a sanctuary where athletes aren’t subject to scrutiny from the outside world. The weight-room is a equal opportunity equalizer.
Dear private “wide receiver” coaches (who the athletes I coach “pay”) quit ruining 9 months of me working to teach controlled speed and how to properly run roll 90’s and 135 degree comebacks. It’s absolutely infuriating to watch. Popping your feet 3 or 4 times while your body doesn’t move 1 inch at the point of your break isn’t making anyone better. Just slower.
Spend 10 bucks, get @Tony_Villani_ game speed curriculum. Learn now the actual great TE and WR do it…then I won’t have to throw up all off season. Be a craftsman not a tool.
There are no magic exercises
As long as you train that movement another way
Back Squat = Bilateral Lower Strength
- Front Squat
- Trap Bar
- Deadlift
Clean = Explosive Strength
- Jumps
- Throws
- Sprints
Bench = Upper Body Strength
- Overhead Press
- Dumbbell Press
- Push Ups
Protein is the most important macronutrient for the youth athlete looking to develop strength, speed, power, & muscle.
This is common knowledge.
The kicker though, is significant consumption isn’t limited to training days or when you feel like it.
It’s got to be every day.
The game that I love has afforded me the opportunity to meet some amazing coaches & has created some great friendships. I’m grateful to God, my Family, & every Coach. I want to announce my commitment to the reigning D2 National Champions, Angelo State University! Go Rams!
Sport coaches:
The height of the box is irrelevant. How high does the center of mass travel? That’s all that matters.
Red line is 7th line on the wall.

WATCH: Ollie Gordon slammed his helmet after his 1st fumble of the season tonight. Here's the conversation Mike Gundy had with him afterwards. It's a lengthy soundbite, but very insightful. #OKState
