CBS: We just got back from the border and the situation there is night and day from what we saw under Biden. Illegal crossings have plunged to record lows. What changed?
Tom Homan: "We got a new President."
This is so dumb:
Not "AI for accountants." The AI accounting firm.
Not "AI for lawyers." The AI law firm.
This is the same thing as saying 30 years ago:
Not “Computers for lawyers.” The Computer law firm.
Dumb right?
Obviously it goes without saying that if you were a law firm 30 years ago and you didn’t buy computers for your company, you probably are not in business today.
But lots of people are missing the mark by assuming customers will make decisions on who to hire bc a certain law firm is “AI-enabled”.
They want lawyers who respond fast, give judgement that is differentiated and strategic, get the job done efficiently / cost-effectively.
Of course AI should theoretically enable all of those outcomes if integrated properly, but marketing yourself as an AI law firm is very dumb and we’ll look back in a few years post the hype cycle washout and laugh at this.
Would love to know if there’s a big accounting firms or law firms today that started in the 1990s with the thesis that they are one of the first “computer enabled accounting firm”. Arthur Anderson comes to mind, but that didn’t end well.
Tech forwardness is usually a good thing, but to market yourself as an AI law firm and expect to win solely because of that is silly and shows the lack of understanding of the underlying fundamentals that leads to success in these businesses. Technology is not the product in these service categories.

FINAL: Yankees 4, Red Sox 0
Rookie Cam Schlittler turned in an all-time outing, striking out a dozen and walking none over eight innings, and New York advances to face Toronto in the ALDS starting Saturday.
Boston had two games to finish off the Yankees and just couldn't do it.
After 9 months of putting this together, I'm excited to finally share a project that I've wanted to exist for years now: The State of Adventure Capital
