Presided over the official opening of the 6th Annual Information Security Management Systems Conference, jointly organized by the National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4) and the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).
The conference brings together government institutions, the private sector, academia, civil society and cybersecurity professionals to strengthen information security governance and promote the adoption of international standards as Kenya accelerates its digital transformation agenda.
I noted that the rapid digitization of public services, including the growth of the eCitizen platform and digital health systems, has expanded opportunities for service delivery while increasing exposure to cyber threats.
As emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence continue to reshape the digital landscape, I called for greater collaboration, innovation and adherence to information security standards to safeguard our digital future and build a secure and trusted digital ecosystem.
