Join us in protest to expose the absurdity of evicting established families from an estate with over 70 empty homes. We refuse to be pushed into homelessness while perfectly good homes sit empty!
🗓️ Dec 13th 2025
⏰ 10–12pm
📍 Meet outside Gipsy Hill Police Station, Central Hill, SE19 1DT
@UKLabour Labour is delivering on making families HOMELESS. @LambethLabour is currently using no-fault evictions against its own tenants — the very same no-fault evictions this current Labour government has just abolished!

HYPOCRITE ALERT! Lambeth Council's leader, @clairekholland, praises the Renters' Rights Bill while acting directly in breach of it. Despite this Labour government having just abolished no-fault evictions, @LambethLabour continues to use them to make Lambeth families HOMELESS.
@sdjackson1954@LambethLabour In 2018, Danny himself went on a paid trip to Israel funded by Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs...

@Kwajotweneboa Not just government ministers: they shouldn't be MPs either! It's utterly shameful that @rushanaraali has resigned from her ministerial position only. She's still an MP! How are her constituents to trust her when this is how she treats her tenants?
🚨 Lambeth families are being forced out of their homes.
Lambeth Council is issuing Section 21 eviction notices, pushing dozens into homelessness - despite hundreds of empty homes on our estates.
We will not stand by. Join us to RESIST EVICTIONS.

Homes for Lambeth tenants facing eviction request meeting with Sadiq Khan "This is the first time we’re hearing that our homes were supposedly ‘available to lease for up to 7 years'. If this was Lambeth council’s plan it was never shared with us…"

The Government has previously stated the end of a private rental contract is “one of the leading causes of homelessness”. Ali said in March that the Renters Rights’ Bill would “tackle the root cause of homelessness”.
Now that sounds like @LambethLabour levels of hypocrisy!
@theipaper Another Labour hypocrisy story: My Labour council is currently making my family and many others homeless. Their justification is wanting to 'house the homeless' in our flats. More info: @hfltenants
We will NOT let @lambeth_council make us homeless!
Yesterday, we kept up the resistance at a rally before Lambeth's full council meeting ✊
At the meeting, Manuel delivered an incisive deputation on behalf of HfL Tenants. It was so good that it seems to have made the council's audio malfunction!
Somehow Manuel's speech is barely audible when watching the council's broadcast, despite the microphone working on the day 👀
But fear not - we've made sure to record it ourselves and will be posting it shortly!
Watch Manuel speak truth to power in his incisive deputation ✊ He delivered it on behalf of @hfltenants at the latest full @lambeth_council meeting.
As evident by Manuel’s speech, the council’s argument collapses under scrutiny.
The line? Labour-led Lambeth Council must evict dozens of families and vulnerable tenants.
How? Through Section 21 evictions, otherwise known as ‘no fault evictions’, that are soon-to-be banned by current Labour government.
Why? To turn our homes into temporary accommodation for those ‘in most urgent need.’
The issue? That’s exactly who WE will become IF evicted.
The outcome? Dozens of families and vulnerable tenants end up homeless.
So what do you think? Sounds like a sound plan, right? Definitely not immoral, harmful, or anything. Perfectly reasonable to make one group homeless to (temporarily) house another, and then self-congratulate yourself through blatant virtue signalling 👀
Stay tuned for Councillor Adilypour’s response. Spoiler: He did exactly what Manuel predicted he would!
@LambethLabour Yet you are evicting households and families from their homes as HFL tenants and making them homeless from their long term homes! Provide them with social housing in their current homes!
What Lambeth Labour is determined to do is to MAKE FAMILIES HOMELESS.
As we speak, Lambeth Labour is using soon-to-be abolished 'no fault' evictions to make its own tenants homeless.
This is how Lambeth Labour is actually transforming lives of families. It's shattering them.
@Kwajotweneboa@Kwajotweneboa you can put me in touch and we can try to organise some resistance.
It's time that someone in Lambeth was sacked for the constant barrage of housing issues! Isn't it @dannyadilypour ?
I can just imagine the conversations between Lambeth and Essex!
@Kwajotweneboa Lambeth Council is also currently using S21 notices to evict dozens of its own VULNERABLE tenants. They're trying to make us homeless to 'house the homeless'! Cllr Danny Adilypour & Kathryn Eames are spearheading the decision. You really can't make it up!
