This is interesting by @WindhorstESPN: the Knicks' dominance in the playoffs had some financial implications for all NBA teams.
Fewer playoff games → less revenue for the league → lower salary cap than expected.
I've seen most management CEO's under threat from AI post some form of comment like this one from $WIX.
The format is essentially this:
1) AI can do this one thing that most people *think* is our core business
2) but it *can't* do these other things that actually are critical to the business.
The second condition varies wildly in how hard it actually is for AI to do (or any competitor).
In Wix's case they mention getting a website hosted, search engine optimization, and "running" a store front. Forget AI, there are already a ton of competitors that do these all.
The website builder space has always been pretty competitive and that is because figuring out how to do these things weren't that hard.
Am I wrong?
"AI has made building online simple and anyone can generate a simple good-looking website in minutes. But that's as far as it goes.
The real complexity begins the moment you hit published. How does it drive engagement? How do you host it, get found on search engines, run your storefront, secure your customers' data and actually operate the business day to day?
These are the hard problems, and we've been solving them for 20 years through continuous product innovation and user feedback."
@BoringBiz_ For IB specifically I'm thinking of going for boutique or speciality shop for FT. Especially with recent FO layoffs and th fact I believe that analyst classes are going to downsized the second AI advancement allow for the headcount reduction

Bleacher Report ranked Joel Embiid the 4th greatest pure scorer of all time:
“Even with the injuries that have nagged him throughout his career, Embiid may be as close to unguardable as any player in the NBA when he's healthy.” 🔥

You occasionally get a moment that symbolizes everything wrong with this country. In this case it's a U.S. Marine veteran screaming out that no one wants to fight for Israel and a U.S. Senator breaking his arm. A perfect encapsulation of US foreign policy.
