The most dangerous AI button might just be Approve.

Not because one click is dramatic on its own. Because in an agent UX, one click can spin up a whole workflow.

In older software, approval usually meant: do this visible thing, once.

In agent software, approval can mean: let this system decide the steps, call the tools, spend money, retry failures, and keep going until the result looks done.

That's not really the same kind of consent.

So the interface worth designing isn't the button anymore. It's everything around it —

> spend cap
> time limit
> allowed tools
> blocked actions
> revocation
> notification threshold
> audit log

Most of the agent safety work is going to end up living in the permission screen, not whatever screen gets shown after something has already gone wrong.
