Earlier on it was hard to fight against natural urges to eat everything I wanted whenever; now the idea of doing so feels disgusting.
The pseudo-intellectual “Korea-watcher” diaspora class is completely insufferable and I didn’t know the extent of the problem until recently.
I do agree that Kangmin sometimes has a tendency to see American culture war elements in Korean society where none exists. But he has a heart for Korea, and is actively learning and listening from Koreans.
And most importantly he’s actively trying to influence the country for the better, unlike these terminally online Korean-Americans who spell Korea with a C instead of a K 🤣 who the hell does that?

But I am personally of the approach in which good people must fight bad ideologies fiercely while addressing their adherents gently.
Most of the oxygen exists due to the hostility on the opposite side.
Mr. Barclay, you are the most extreme example of audience capture I have ever seen on this platform.
You could have broken out into a Canadian conservative commentator. Many would be very eager to hear more voices like that.
But here you are, forced to spew nonsense about a country -- whose language you don't speak and culture you don't understand -- in order to get any interaction.
