@bradfordmdc @KCollector I don’t think you understand the underlying issue here.This area is poorly funded and has been neglected for YEARS. It’s an embarrassment to the community for people visiting the area. If the council put in the effort as they do in other areas,the place wouldn’t look like a dump.

@bradfordmdc I have been coming to visit bfd for years& the area I visit (Bd7)looks absolutely disgusting and neglected compared to the middle class areas of Bradford.When will bd7 get a weekly cleaning rota like it’s counterparts?Or is funding not available to ethnic minorities?

@zainab_c @bradfordmdc It’s more than that. There’s absolute no funding in this area for anything. Lamp post don’t work for months, rats and mice running with the kids in the field, which is filled with litter. No cctv to see who starts arson, no traps from rats. @bradfordmdc @CollSalma @rehana I don’t think you understand, we don’t want a one off cleaning event, we want a REGULAR CLEANING ROTA where our streets are cleaned regularly just like the affluent areas of Bradford. This issue has been ignored for YEARS!!!!

@zainab_c @bradfordmdc @bradfordmdc These areas in BD7 have always been neglected. Spencer Road, Farnham Road, Beckside Road and the areas around the schools is and always has been an absolute dump. I've lived on Spencer Road for over 20 years and the visits from road sweepers are few and far between.

@zainab_c @bradfordmdc Truth of the matter is there is no concern for these areas because of the demographic of the community that live here. I've drove down one of the more affluent areas of Bradford and it's a completely different picture. Truth is BD7/BD8 just don't matter.

@KCollector @bradfordmdc Completely agree. It’s astounding to see some parts of Bradford spotless and the other parts looks like they are living in the slums!
