After today’s 🇷🇺 attack, the only person in this photo who survived is the man.
Mother Yevheniya and her three daughters — Yaryna, Daryna, and Emiliya — were killed.
Standing in the back is Yaryna Bazylevych. She was 21 y.o. Yaryna worked in our office for “Youth Capital 2025”
@NemoSalus@KyivIndependent Yeah, you did it. And look at the mess you‘ve placed yourself in. But still: you‘re always welcome to re-join. Think about it.
@KyivIndependent He is a #crook. He is saying this after taking EU money for decades and distributing it to personal friends, making them billionaires. #orban
Hiba Kamal Abu Nada was a stellar Palestinian writer. I had been eagerly reading her work. Six years ago, at 26, she won a top award at Sharjah for her novel.
Yesterday morning she was killed in Gaza by an Israeli strike. She was 32, younger than me
I was really worried about this. 😔 With great sadness, I have now confirmed that several of my relatives (including Viola and Yara pictured here) were killed at Saint Porphyrius Orthodox Church in Gaza, where they had been sheltering, when part of the complex was destroyed as the result of an Israeli airstrike. Give rest, O Lord, to their souls, and may their memories be eternal.
The Palestinian Christian community has endured so much. Our family is hurting badly. May God watch over all Christians in Gaza—and all Israelis and Palestinians who are suffering, whatever their religion or creed.

Little Alin’s little brother and parents were murdered by Hamas.
Today she succumbed to her wounds and joins them in heaven 💔.
She will be buried today.
Our hearts are broken.
May her memory be a blessing.
"They just said, we found Emily. She's dead. I went, 'Yes!' and smiled, because that is the best news of the possibilities I knew. She was either dead or in Gaza. And if you know anything about what they do to people in Gaza, that is worse than death."
Emily was 8.
