On the personal hygiene issue kay Jeo, share ko lang ’to:
(Warning: Long litanya ahead 🫣)
I have a teenage boy cousin whom I’m sending to college, and our family noticed that he tends to develop body odor whenever he sweats a lot.
One day, over lunch, we were discussing how to bring it up to him. After all, he’s entering adulthood, and personal hygiene is something he needs to be more conscious of. And we figured, if we’ve noticed it at home, there’s a good chance people at school have noticed it, too.
The men in the family suggested taking the “light joke” approach during one of our family gatherings. Kasi lalaki naman daw, and surely he could take a joke.
And when they eventually did, I watched my cousin laugh and smile along, but I could see his eyes getting watery.
He laughed, but that didn’t necessarily mean he was okay with it.
Worse, he didn’t even get the message we were trying to convey. Instead, he started distancing himself from family gatherings and stopped joining us for meals.
That’s when I decided to intervene.
I called him for a private conversation, together with my two high school girl cousins whom I’m also sending to school.
Instead of singling him out, I turned it into a casual discussion about self-care, personal hygiene, and how they should start taking better care of themselves now that they’re growing up and even starting to explore romantic relationships.
To make the conversation more engaging, I asked them what self-care products or essentials they wished they had but couldn’t afford yet.
And from there, we talked about proper hygiene, particularly physical and oral health, without making anyone feel like they were the problem.
At the end of our little “conference,” I gave all three of them an allowance to buy their own personal hygiene kits. I also let them shop online for new clothes and school essentials, just to reinforce that this wasn’t about pointing out their shortcomings but about supporting them as they grow.
And yes, I still replenish their hygiene supplies to this day.
I’m sharing this not para magpaka-Jollibee or make myself look like some exemplary ate. I just wanted to emphasize something about Cianne’s approach to Jeo’s personal hygiene issue.
JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED DOESN’T MEAN IT HAS TO BE ADDRESSED PUBLICLY OR THROUGH HUMILIATION.
Personal hygiene is important, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with helping someone become more aware of it. But HOW you communicate that concern matters just as much as WHAT you’re trying to communicate.
What may seem like harmless teasing to one person can be deeply embarrassing to another. And just because someone laughs along doesn’t mean they aren’t hurt or uncomfortable.
Sometimes, instead of encouraging someone to improve, public remarks only make them withdraw, feel ashamed, or lose confidence.
And while I understand that people may not always have bad intentions, GOOD INTENTIONS DON’T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE AN APPROACH APPROPRIATE. Basic manners and consideration should still come into play.
I’m not saying we should avoid uncomfortable conversations. In fact, I believe they’re necessary, especially when we’re guiding younger people. But there’s a difference between correcting someone to help them improve and embarrassing someone just to get a point across.
And no, I’m not babying my cousins. I’m also still learning what’s appropriate and what’s not when it comes to guiding teenagers into adulthood.
If anything, the way I try to guide them now is heavily influenced by how I wish the adults around me had guided me when I was their age.
Because you can teach someone an important lesson without making them feel small in the process. 🤷♀️

I know they were making fun of it and Jeo is participating at first, pero sabihan niyo na ako na walang humor but I really don’t get how people be pulling these kind of “jokes” to people that THEY BARELY KNOW.
Ang lakas kaya makadecline ng confidence ng mga ganitong banatan about personal hygiene esp when directed to a guy.
Ke totoo or joke lang yung sinasabi ni Cianne & Calix about the smell, may intent man or wala to humiliate—IT’S NOT OKAY DO THIS PUBLICLY.
What I really find missing pag may ganitong ganap is MANNERS esp nung tinanong pa specifically kung nag toothbrush ba with other people around. 🫠

This is a constant topic between me and sister—about how Gen Z has the power to actually realize Rizal’s ANG KABATAAN ANG PAG-ASA NG BAYAN’s expression comes the 2028 National Elections.
I am putting my faith in the younger generation to be the key to the country's progress, freedom, and future. 🙏🤞✨

Just when you’re ready to sleep, papasok pa tong variance variance na topic.
Ay wala naaaa, na off na brain ko when I shut down my laptop boss. Lol 😮💨
I deserve a vacation after Q3’s earnings szn. Financial analysis pa more!
Idk about you guys but after their actingan session, I have finally pinned down where the familiarity is coming from whenever I see Jeo and Gehlee on my screen.
Y’all won’t understand me if you haven’t seen peak Bong Revilla’s oozing charisma in every ‘90s action film he was in. Add on top of it the overflowing chemistry with every leading lady he’s paired with.
And one that really stood out for me was his pairing with Donna Cruz in “Pag-ibig Ko Sayo’y Totoo” movie. Gosh I feel so old bringing this up but can you see the resemblance?! Do you get me? HAHA
The astigin/protector ML and the sweet/soft FL?! 💗🤭
Ooooh I just know these two would sellout cinemas soon. They’re sooo bankable!

Uhmm anong i-aask? Like magcoconfess siya and icoconfirm kung crush din ba siya?
I admire the bravery but for what intent? Or is it normal for ze teens to do that now? Hahahuhu eh kung hindi or di receptive si crush about letting you be, ang awkward na kaya after.
Goodbye na din sa “happy crush” ko cos for sure I’m gonna get avoided every chance he gets. 🫣
And I’m soooo confused if how we define a crush before is still applicable nowadays or baka nabago na haha para kasing may intent na to get it to the next level agad pag crush mo yung person.
OMFG THOSE EYES!!!!!!
THOSE STARES!!!
The chemistry is not just overflowing, it’s flooding the room y’all!!! 😭
Calm my trentahin heart down!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Actually, from experience (eme)…
What makes it more difficult to move on from a person you loved or admired, is not the love you have for them—IT’S REALLY THE FAMILIARITY/ATTACHMENT TO THEIR PRESENCE.
Yun yung nakakapanghina talaga. Yung wala na yung nakagawian mo nang closeness, treatment and feels na sila lang yung nakakagawa/bigay and esp when their presence alone can calm your whole being. Yun yung soafer mahirap makausad from. 🫣
Kaya nga may argument na: “you don’t miss the person, you miss what he/she made you feel”. 🥹
Sobrang na-attached kasi talaga si Kisses kay Marco nun, plus first exposure din ata niya sa ganung side ng opposite sex so mej di pa marunong mag navigate.
While I don’t really think Jeo, Gehlee and Shea are at the level of how close K & M & V noon, I also pray the girls don’t hurt like K before. 🙏
#PBBCollab3pointO
Setting aside the 3 girls' scheming, if Jeo ever falls for Gehlee or Shea, I just hope the one left behind won't hurt the way Kisses did. Attachment hurts more than love. Imagine getting used to someone's presence, only to learn how to live without it.
#PBBCollab3pointO
@otsobawl Agreed! 💯
Oooooh this is news to me. 👀
I hate to say this pero baka nga naman may foundation yung nilulutong ulam nila Cianne and Lans if this is how Robbie interprets Jeo’s actions toward the two girls.
Or baka lang naman may mood swings. Haha ano ba kasi si Jeo to other girls and may distinction yung dalawa? Si Shea and Gehlee lang ba nasa age group niya? Or sumtin like parang walang strings sa labas and somehow okay to associate them to him? I’m curious as to why Robbie picked it up in the first place.
Agoroyyy Jeo. Pagtarong. I get all kilig with #JEOLEE but I refuse to have my bb girl Gehlee be involved in this situation. 🧐
#PBBCollab3point0
Haaaaay. Gets ko yung demand to let Shea be and let her feel what she feels “kasi nga crush niya” si Jeo. 😮💨
Pero genuine question to the young generation as a trentahin: kailan pa ninormalize ang pag-iimpose ng expectations sa mga crush natin? That they should be careful with their actions sa ibang babae/lalaki cos they are accountable sa feelings ko?
Why are there people pointing fingers kay Jeo as if responsible siya for whatever Shea feels? Paano naging two-way na yung expectations?
I’m not denying Shea to feel sad, hurt or jealous.. (nagmaoy sad kos akong crush before oy) but ang unfair naman sa lalaki kung ii-impose natin yung responsibility to take care of our feelings just because we admire them.
Aren’t we bound to deal with it on our own kasi tayo naman yung nagka-crush? Ako yung may gusto sa kanya.
Ewan, I’m just getting confused sa mga callout na Jeo should distance or tone down his interactions with other girls. Uhmm, why?🤷♀️😬
And mas lalo ko din kayong iku-question kung pati si Gehlee eh imposesan niyo ng responsibility if this love triangle trope will really get traction among the audiences. 😮💨
Is this the new normal?
#PBBCollab3point0
I don’t necessarily agree na si Shea yung “laging lumalapit” just because yun yung observation natin sa labas kasi di naman talaga natin sila natututokan din 24/7. Hehe But agree to the other points.
This is also what I’m picking up. Hindi yung literal na ang hirap basahin ni Jeo when it comes to the two of them versus other girl hm8s in general. So I’ll take it as walang malice or intent talaga and Jeo is just being himself.
“Let her have her space.”
“Let her be.”
Eh hindi na ngani pinupush mag-share.
Why set up a wall against a person na di naman yung cause ng problema mo in the first place? Why have them feel like they did something wrong?
You can’t blame her for feeling offended because di yan na lumaki sa pagiging indirect ng mga Pinoy.
You can’t deny that this can cause unnecessary misunderstandings. 🤷♀️

I’m going to try to be impartial about Bela Arcal’s mother’s hinanaing.
Whenever I hear Bela share her experiences growing up, it never really crosses my mind na kontrabida agad yung parents, siblings, or relatives niya. Simply because SOME CHILDREN GENUINELY REMEMBER AND INTERPRET THEIR UPBRINGING DIFFERENTLY FROM HOW THEIR PARENTS DO.
Yung kahit nagpaka-Nanay naman yung nanay, ang reception ng anak is still, “Nasaan ka nung kailangan kita?” Not necessarily because the mother wasn’t there, but because the child didn’t FEEL her presence the way she needed to.
Her mother may have had her own struggles and may have done everything in her power to raise Bela. And that deserves acknowledgment. BUT THAT DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY INVALIDATE WHAT BELA FELT GROWING UP.
And correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t recall Bela explicitly saying na pinabayaan siya, hindi siya inasikaso, or inabandona siya ng pamilya niya. From what I’ve seen, she’s simply sharing her experiences and how she perceived them.
I personally grew up in a close-knit family, but my parents weren’t perfect either.
Ang dami kong “sana na-experience ko rin” growing up, especially the seemingly trivial things. Yung sana parents ko ang uma-attend ng school meetings, naghahatid at sumusundo, naghahanda ng school requirements, or even nag-aayos ng buhok ko before going to school.
BUT WISHING I HAD EXPERIENCED THOSE THINGS DOES NOT MEAN MY PARENTS ARE BEING NEGLIGENT.
I can acknowledge everything my parents sacrificed for me while also recognizing the things I wished they had done differently. BOTH CAN BE TRUE.
And that’s why I find her mother’s public reaction quite disappointing.
I understand that she may have felt hurt, unappreciated, or even misrepresented. Valid naman yung feelings niya. But publicly calling out your own daughter, accusing her of lying, and bringing up everything you’ve provided for her? That’s a different story.
Parents are allowed to feel hurt by how their children remember their upbringing. But children should also be allowed to talk about their experiences without automatically being labeled ungrateful.
After all, a parent’s sacrifices and a child’s unmet emotional needs can coexist. One does not cancel out the other.
