With all the discourse about ATLA rn, there needs to be a discussion about how bad writing has gotten in Hollywood. Specifically dialogue and characters
@DefeatedIn@UncannyMegan I had never seen Paddington before, kept seeing so much hype about it. Looked it up and 1 & 2 both had 100% ratings, i was like wow thats pretty amazing.
So i went in with high expectations, and was still blown away with how good they are
@gmac929@500ciggarettes Its human nature to want community, thats literally a fact.
No one has problems with athiests that are normal and just dont believe in religion. Its because a good amount of athiests are chronically online and live in this bubble where they believe they are vastly superior
@ThePraxicDuck@KingpinThawne From what ive seen its the same overall. Same overall story, and same major character arcs.
What ive seen changed are the smaller but important scenes that really speak to the core of the characters and their motives
@ThePraxicDuck@KingpinThawne I get what youre saying, and i dont think people would care as much if
1. The writing was good
2. If theyre going to make changes, then make more changes so its obvious the story is itโs own
@ThePraxicDuck@KingpinThawne Rehashing the same story and only deviating when it comes to scenes that give key character context is a sign of not understanding the characters at all. Its bad writing
