@marclou@JMatthewMcGarry Biggest benefit of having your audience is the "future conversion rate" - whenever I need a newsletter service I'll go straight to MailCheap.
Why would I even consider the OGs if I know this is going to cover all my needs and be way more affordable
@gojiberryai Nice! Now all I need you to do is add a white label or agency tier so we can easily resell this. We make a ton of WP sites with https://t.co/eOfiLNXfaN and would love to offer Goji as built-in service.
@sherifgjini .com is not taken, you might just need a longer one, and it doesn't matter or affect your revenue at all.
Next is .ai - this actually seems to have some edge
I listed NeuWP on @trust_mrr and wanted to see if my 5-letter .com domain is actually worth something. Long story short: it's not.
Thanks to @marclou and the TrustMRR API, I was able to find out there's absolutely no reason for me to be as proud as I was with https://t.co/FICWnzEegl 🥲
In the EU most business owners prefer to actually own their website and be able to easily pack and go, along with their CMS (everyone is on a cheap shared hosting). Agencies try to lock them in with a custom build AI site and a CMS that only the agency can access, so we actually easily sell new AI-made WP sites as upgrades to those already used to Wordpress.
Once clients are able to easily edit the content (and they are) and the site is secure (it is), WP is as good as any fancy custom CMS, just familiar.
Vitals? Solved a long time ago.
For myself - never WP.
For my clients - always WP.
Thanks to AI we actually started selling a ton of WP sites. We just make them 30 times faster and 20 times better now. To a real client being able to edit stuff themselves is still important and we leaned heavily on the visual editor (native, made by AI, not Elementor or other drag&drops) with a built-in AI assistant. They can use AI inside their WP, we can easily build on top of it with a local Claude. So far it's a win-win. So much so that we made https://t.co/FICWnzEegl to Automate even more and manage all new clients.
Plus, business owners still prefer that someone handles most web stuff for them, and we still do this gladly. Sure, we can build a custom CMS for every client, but having a common one for 100 clients is easier. And Wordpress is actually good, even more so than before thanks to AI.
Founders obsess over short domains. So do I.. or so did I.
I checked the MRR vs domain name length across all startups with MRR > $0 on @trust_mrr
Correlation: −0.01
So.. don't overthink the domain ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Everyone nowadays can build and maintain their own website. Lots of people and companies don't and won't.
We call them clients. What do you do when you have 100 or 200 clients? A custom CMS for every one? Charge at 15 minute intervals for every request?
Wordpress is the perfect balance of giving clients control over their own property (the website), letting them freely edit it and experiment, and us being there when they need us. New special landing pages, new features, new markets - the bigger picture.
I don't want to charge for the small stuff at all, I'd rather let them handle it. They do, too.
@montzchels Sure. We've done that. I don't use WP for my projects as I can will anything into existence with AI.
But for 100 clients who've already had WP sites I'll always make them a new WP site. Just 20x better than before thanks to AI.
Plugins are what makes (made?) WP bad. Now gone.
We could, and we've done it for some. I don't use WP for my projects as I can do whatever magic I want with AI, but clients with old sites who are used to WP and want to manually edit/create stuff appreciate the familiarity. And WP is actually a good CMS especially when AI builds on it.
