🔥@AuntB: “You can’t say both “F**k funding FEMA” and “it’s not fair that FEMA’s not rushing to save us without us even having to ask.”
@NashvilleScene columnist blasts elected TN Republicans for blatant hypocrisy on FEMA/federal disaster relief. https://t.co/eR98U8qRRs
With folks still reeling from the death and destruction of #HurricaneHelene and #HurricaneMilton barreling toward Florida’s gulf coast, it’s a good time to remind everyone that @MarshaBlackburn, @BillHagertyTN & 33 GOP Senators voted to defund FEMA in 2021. https://t.co/pVT74WKMTs
I am someone who visits his forever 14 daughter at the cemetery, because of gun violence. Watching as Trump and Vance continue to use gun violence and with @JDVance even saying "Trump took a bullet for Democracy" is pissing me off beyond measure. No JD, Trump took a bullet because people like you have failed on this issue. My daughter and all victims of gun violence are in fact taking bullets for Democracy. Because of gun violence, we are in triggered and WE PLAN TO VOTE FOR @KamalaHarris AND @Tim_Walz.
WATCH: Inside Politics says Marsha Blackburn didn’t reply to their invitation and asks her Democratic opponent @VoteGloriaJ, “Why won’t Marsha show up and debate?”
GLORIA: It ain’t easy to defend her record!

Florida is recovering from one hurricane while another is on the way.
-The Republican Governor is refusing to talk with the President to coordinate hurricane relief
-All Florida Republicans in Congress voted against supplemental disaster relief money for FEMA
-82 House Republicans, including 11 from Florida, voted to shut down the government, knowing a powerful hurricane was on its way
-The Republican-controlled House took a vacation for the month of August instead of passing a budget on time, which means no new FEMA budget
-The Republican Speaker of the House is refusing to reconvene Congress from their second month-long vacation to pass emergency supplemental funds for FEMA
-The Republican presidential nominee continually lies about the federal disaster response instead of making sure his voters have the correct information to receive help
-The Republican party wants to eliminate FEMA and NOAA (the agency that monitors, tracks, and predicts the path of hurricanes)
-The Republican Party refuses to acknowledge climate change while watching insurance companies leave Florida because increasingly stronger storms are making insurance claims too expensive to operate
Florida, why do you keep voting for the party that not only does nothing for you but actively works against your best interests?
