What they really threw out by complete trust demolition, is the endorsement process, hopefully it can die entirely and we can pick candidates with the primary alone in the spring. It gives a better indication of who will actually bring out the votes and avoids a summer of infighting!

I wish people could understand the big stick theory again, it’s not about if killing someone over your $300 TV is morally justified. It’s about the fact that knowing breaking into a house for a $300 loot could be your death sentence that makes all of society safer and actually reduces deaths because the potential consequences are too great in the first place. I think we need to remember that to someone breaking and entering, 10 years of free food, free housing, free healthcare, and free internet, isn’t necessarily a deterrent.
