@alon_mizrahi Merci Monsieur.
Before returning to my 'normal' online activity, I want to really thank from my heart all the literally thousands of people who took the time to offer condolences, empathy, and love. This exposed such a lovely and humane face of our digital existence.
So thank you; you have given me comfort at a point in my journey where I really needed it.
And one political word, as everything is always emotional and political: in the week (or so) before my father died there was this online argument about who really belongs and who doesn't belong in what I at least see as a big shared resistance to a wide range of malignant beliefs, narratives and practices, of which Zionism is but one (a central one, admittedly, but not the only one).
And I am saying this because over the past week I have received hundreds, or more, of friendly and loving messages from Arab and Muslim brothers and sisters, offering their heartfelt regards, erasing with their simple humanity (which is the most sacred thing we'll ever have) any imaginary borderline.
This, as I see it, was not only a testament to the futility of certain quarrels and arguments; it demonstrated to me, once more, that I have been right in rejecting the terrible education I got, keeping my natural love and affinity for the civilization and culture I originally belong to: the world of people who call god Allah, and say, or think, mashaAllah and inshaAllah when the occasion arises.
I never liked borderlines: everyone whose heart is open for humanity is my people; but you, offering words of comfort that included Arabic, feel like a big extended family to me. I feel personally, emotionally, politically connected to the place and dignity you have in this world (again, tossing aside all the terrible Western brainwashing we are all being drenched in).
So thank you. I wish happier times for all of us who love humanity. True friendship, true love, true liberation, and dignity for all.
Nothing else is good enough. I just said goodbye to my dear father. I know
