I have no expertise in this, just thinking out loud

Iran’s “nuclear program,” like the war on drugs, terror, crime, poverty etc, has been a boogeyman for decades

I don’t know how it’s possible for 30 years they’ve been 1 month away from having a nuke?

Is it possible their “nuclear program”, like the war on terror, is intentionally difficult to define, quantify, or prove bc it gives politicians the excuse to do whatever they want (claim victory, sanction, or carpet bomb) and no one can definitively prove the politician is wrong?

Again, I’m just thinking out loud so take this with a grain salt but it makes no sense that a “nuclear program” that hasn’t been able to produce a nuke in 30 years is something worth bombing a city of 9m civilians, and certainly not something US should be involved with.

Lastly, assume Iran does have a “nuclear program” that is on the brink of finally producing a nuke after 30 years. Doesn’t that prove, along with Russia, sanctions don’t work? 🤔

And assume US gets involved and claims victory, what’s the next preemptive war the politicians are going to start and how do we the people know it’s justified?
