BREAKING: Mallam Nasir El-Rufaiβs blood sample tested positive for Enterococcus faecium, a bacterium that can cause serious infections. The laboratory report, dated Oct 16, also indicates that the bacterium is resistant to vancomycin, with concerns about a possible bloodstream infection.
On October 22, El-Rufaiβs doctor recommended urgent hospital admission, treatment and specialist consultation, warning that the proposed antibiotics might not adequately treat the infection.
Yet, those holding him appear more concerned about keeping him behind bars than ensuring he receives appropriate medical care. When urgent medical recommendations are not prioritised, questions about deliberate neglect become unavoidable, because even convicted bandits are taken to the hospital when the need arises.
What exactly do they want? From denying Mallam Nasir El-Rufai access to his doctor to now refusing to follow medical recommendations, recommendations that even their own doctors agree with.
If you saw Mallamβs picture yesterday, you could tell the man is sick. He is only trying to be strong despite everything he is going through.
What exactly do you want from this man?
@Kadunaelectric The entire team at Kaduna Electric seems incredibly insensitive. We've gone days without a stable power supply with no clear explanation, and to make matters worse, they are trying to silence criticism by disabling comments.
@Caliph_Honey @NationalGridNg Same here. We barely get 13 hours of power supply, yet we are "supposedly " band A. It's been like this for over a month here in kaduna.
@yazeedlawal@Kadunaelectric So true, and nothing has been done about it!! While Unguwan rimi are having more than 20 hours of light lately. Its not fair
