It's a great line because it's not really about watches.

On the surface, she's asking for a detailed explanation of something really complex. His response is essentially:

"The explanation is complicated, and understanding every mechanism isn't necessary right now. Focus on the outcome, not the internals."

The watch metaphor works because everyone understands the difference between:

- Knowing what time it is.
- Knowing how a watch actually works.

Most people can use a watch perfectly well without understanding gears, escapements, balance wheels, or quartz crystals.

For young people, apprentices, junior engineers, new managers, or anyone entering a new field, there's a deeper lesson:

- Expertise comes in layers

When you're new, you often want the entire mental model immediately.

You ask:

- Why are we doing it this way?
- What does every part do?
- What are all the dependencies?
- What happens under every possible condition?

Those are good questions. But sometimes the answer would require six months of background knowledge to make sense. It's great to be curious, as long as sometimes you're willing to accept that the answer is "I can't explain it all to you right now."

An experienced person may effectively be saying:

"You're asking a valid question, but you're asking it several chapters before the book has introduced the necessary concepts."

That can be hard when you're young and driven!

‼️EXPOSED: New Photo From Donor From The REAL Aspen Donor Summit Just Exposed TPUSA’s “Charlie Appointing Erika” Video as FAKE 👀

A donor has now released the actual backdrop from the Aspen Investor Retreat. The real stage backdrop clearly reads “INVESTOR RETREAT” with mountain graphics and horseshoe logos.

This directly proves that the video Turning Point USA released — the one they claimed showed Charlie Kirk at the Aspen Donor Summit saying he appoints Erika to take over if something happens to him — is not from that event at all.

The backdrop in their video does not match the real backdrop from the actual retreat. They either used footage from a completely different event or created the clip entirely. Either way, it’s fake.

This is the same organization that has been pushing the narrative that Charlie wanted Erika to run TPUSA. Now we have visual proof that the video they used to support that claim was fabricated or heavily edited.

Charlie Kirk is gone, and instead of being honest, they’re manufacturing evidence to justify who took over. The more they try to control the narrative, the more obvious it becomes that something is very wrong.

Illegal Monday.

It is time to start using RICO against businesses that repeatedly hire illegal aliens.

RICO was created to dismantle organizations that profit from ongoing criminal activity. Knowingly hiring unauthorized workers, falsifying I-9s, building a business model around suppressed wages, and creating a shadow labor pipeline fits the statute.

If a company does it once, fine the manager.

If a company does it repeatedly, across multiple locations and years, seize the enterprise. Take the business, the property, the bank accounts. Send the owners and executives to jail.

That is how you kill the profit motive.

Right now we arrest the worker and let the business that hired them keep operating and profiting.

That makes no sense.

Treat illegal labor like the criminal enterprise it often is. Hit the pocketbook and the people who make the decisions.

Only then will the incentives change.
