Yesterday, we made a significant announcement concerning the ZEOS DEX.
(Visit https://t.co/5dyNFZeehA to test it out!)
You might be wondering, 'What's the big deal about it?'
Let us explain:
The ZEOS Exchange is the first fully decentralized hybrid order book exchange on the EOS blockchain and possibly in the entire crypto space.
Drawing inspiration from the Bulish Exchange, the ZEOS DEX elevates the concept to unprecedented levels.
Unlike its predecessor, the ZEOS DEX is not just an idea – it’s a fully on-chain, accessible platform for everyone, nearing its highly anticipated launch.
As we approach 2024, Matthias is passionately working behind the scenes, setting the stage for the ZEOS DEX to revolutionize the world of crypto trading.
With unique features like a hybrid order book combining traditional and AMM liquidity pools, high-performance order matching that processes over 500 orders in a single EOS transaction, and fully on-chain market data, the ZEOS DEX is not just an exchange - it’s a paradigm shift in decentralized finance.
The ZEOS DEX also brings with it great trading features, including advanced order types like Stop and Stop-Limit, a unique fee structure where makers earn and takers pay, and the promise of decentralized ownership under the ZEOS Fractal DAO. And let’s not forget the upcoming ZEOS Shielded Protocol, set to enable private trading - a first in the crypto space!
2024 is not just another year; it’s the dawn of a new, exhilarating chapter in decentralized trading. Follow us to be part of this thrilling journey, as ZEOS prepares to soar to new heights!”
Continue reading for a detailed outline of its capabilities:
- Hybrid Order Book: Each market consists of both - traditional order book and AMM liquidity pool. This maximizes the overall liquidity of markets as any spread between bid & ask is eliminated by the pool. Orders are always matched against both - book and pool - ensuring you always get the best price possible.
•High-Performance Order Matching: The ZEOS DEX is designed to be as fast and efficient as possible. Despite it being a hybrid order book exchange, our order matching algorithm is magnitudes faster than those of existing exchanges on EOS. In a single EOS transaction more than 500 orders can get matched without exceeding the 30ms transaction execution time limit.
•Fully on-chain: All market data is fully on-chain - including the entire market history. No traditional Web2 infrastructure is required to run the ZEOS DEX. Users can download the user interface and run it locally on their device without sacrificing user experience and without having to run an EOS full-node with expensive history plugin. This makes the ZEOS DEX truly censorship-resistant and a true Web3 application.
•Stop/Stop-Limit Order Types: Unlike any other DEX on EOS (and possibly in all of cypto) the ZEOS Exchange supports Stop and Stop-Limit order types. A valuable feature for traders who are used to those kind of orders from traditional financial markets.
•Takers pay, Makers earn: On the ZEOS exchange liquidity providers earn the lion share of the 0.3% trading fees. No matter if liquidity is prvided through limit orders (book) or the liquidity pool (AMM): Makers earn 0.2% trading fees while takers pay 0.3% trading fees. The remaining fee amount of 0.1% goes to the DEX as a platform fee.
•Decentralized Ownership: The ZEOS DEX is owned and governed by the ZEOS Fractal which is the DAO of the ZEOS ecosystem. No single company or developer team is the exclusive owner of the smart contract but the ZEOS community itself which elects their leadership through the dynamic and innovative process of "Fractal Governance".
•Private Trading (coming soon): As the first DEX on EOS (and most-likely in all of crypto) users will be able to trade privately on the exchange. In addition to traditional EOS accounts users will be able to connect their ZEOS wallet and remain completely anonymous while interacting with the markets. This feature will go live as soon as the ZEOS Shielded Protocol will launch in 2024.
🚨🚨🚨 BREAKING:
From Matthias Schonebeck
Lead Developer of ZEOS:
Dear ZEOS community,
I'm thrilled to share the final version of the ZEOS DEX with you guys. I have deployed it to the "Jungle 4" testnet because I found they have the most convenient tooling there. Creating accounts, power-up resources and issue tokens is very easy using their web interface. You find everything you need to get started here: https://t.co/ZporrcxTjb
In Anchor you can easily enable the "Jungle 4" testnet as well without having to configure anything manually. I'm very grateful for anyone who takes the time to play around with the DEX a little bit over the next days. If there are no issues, I would suggest to launch the DEX on the EOS mainnet at the end of this week or early next week.
Again, your time and testing efforts are much appreciated! Please let me know if you have any issues with either Jungle or the DEX itself. Just post them here in the telegram channel and I will help you to resolve it. Also, please post any kind of suggestions, improvements or further features you would like to see.
I only opened a single market (ZEOS/EOS) to keep the testing environment simple. A lot of testing (for instance, with different token symbols) has already happened the last time. Now, it is more about the additional features that have been added like, for example, stop orders or the history solution.
