@oluok1 He is obviously a two man striker in my opinion. Drops deep and covers way too much ground to play alone up top. It’s why he worked so well with Trossard in 23/24, Alvarez would’ve been the best possible signing to maximize Kai’s skill set. Massive shame he’s a cuck.
@AFCAMDEN@dankoogs Our defence slightly improved, our midfield improved a lot and our attack got much worse. When you take into account the context of how we missed out on top targets and things like offering out MLS it looks really bad overall. The club did not live up to its promises.
@SamW_AFC Feels like we will be hearing “no ones available” until the end of time. Continuing to settle for players like Tzolis and Gyokeres because of the finances is how the project dies.
@TheFalseNein Needs to be more than a good chance. It is a requirement that all these players step up a level this season if we want to win anything. We shipped out 6 attackers worth 45 g/a last season and brought in one player who was supposed to be a backup.
@QuantK22 “When it comes to the best attacking talent, clubs may simply have to bite the bullet.”
No shit man… do we think these other clubs are charities? You want the best you have to pay. Instead we get left with players like Gyokeres and Tzolis. There’s a reason no one else took em
@gunnerblog@TheAthleticFC Incomplete is an understatement for the circus that went on this summer. I hope I’m wrong but I have a very very strong feeling we will regret this come May.
@7ar5ftbl When we ship out 45 g/a worth of contribution last season and only replace it with Tzolis and no one else it’s totally justified. The worst part is not just Chelsea but City as well. We need a lot of players to step up this season offensively we’ve been left so short.
@EduardoHagn That coward won’t do a thing. Hopefully next we hear from him is his resignation. Rather him get sacked and embarrassed but least he could do is leave on his own.
@DanielPetranek@PatrickTimmons1 It’s true that players are inflated by a lot. At some point though we need to get a grip and firm these prices. Players don’t just randomly appear who are both world class and also super cheap. We either sign to develop or pay the premium. Instead we signed Tzolis who’s neither.
@_Ventfull_ Bruno playing over Skelly is the opposite of politics… he’s too good not to start. It’d be far more political to appease the hale end die hards and play Skelly no matter the rest of the quality we have. He will get lots of minutes and is still very young.
@F4STYAMAL Cheap deal and he could surprise you. Less intensity in the league and likely from the tactical demands of the coach could help him find consistent game time again. Top player at his best.
