@Case1894@ReplayrsTV@SimonZijlemans Never said it was “new game bad”. I said it isn’t a Castlevania. Learn how to read and have comprehension skills instead of twisting the narrative.
@LivesForeverMod@4BrandonJS4 Proceeds to block = instant fail. Proves my point hence your argument invalid. People such as you willing to accept slop from developers because the game holds “Castlevania” in the title… gtfo you disgusting sheep 🐑
@LivesForeverMod@4BrandonJS4 Where’s the platforming? 😂 😂😂😂You mean the platforming that’s literally throughout the game? SOTN changed the structure to exploration, RPG mechanics, and ability-based progression. Not having the exact same linear whip-platforming formula doesn’t mean there’s no platforming.
@LivesForeverMod@4BrandonJS4 That screenshot proves nothing about what you claimed. Comparing SOTN to FFVII, Crash 2, GoldenEye and Mario Kart 64 doesn’t explain SOTN’s sales or prove its visuals caused them. Where are the actual SOTN sales numbers and contemporary source for that claim? 😂😂😂😂😂🤡
@KojirohSakaki@4BrandonJS4 You’re the one making the claims, so the burden is on you to show evidence. I gave you a contemporary 1997 review praising the exact changes you’re calling backlash. Now provide a contemporary source showing that poor sales were specifically because of the visuals…
@Case1894@ReplayrsTV@SimonZijlemans The demo is to hence “demonstrate” what the game’s gameplay will be… it’s for gamers to gather first impressions of the game… overall Belmont’s Curse isn’t Castlevania
@KojirohSakaki@4BrandonJS4 Bro, I was born in ’80s and played it in ’97 😂. SOTN was heavily praised for its new direction. Its initial sales were modest largely because of poor marketing in U.S. unlike JP, not because it “looked old.” You’re confusing sales with reception. By word of mouth the game boomed
@4BrandonJS4 And finally, the game have very downgraded RPG mechanics, nothing even close to SOTN or Order of Ecclesia. The Tarot cards are a prime example, it make the player feel like you powered up but in reality doesn’t provide any real value to the character and player.
@4BrandonJS4 Here is another clue. The first boss is soulslike and checks your skill curve. Easy asf to me to defeat yet players that have poor timing and pattern recognition can’t execute to defeat the boss with a limited character stripped away of core combat mechanics to punish the player.
@BirdKICKerBing The game is stiff asf with atrocious mechanics, easy enemies and boss, and terrible level design… tf drugs you smoking? We can’t say our peace about the game so Konami can fix the issues? GTFO 🐑
@Konami I’m disappointed, but I’m not giving the full game a final judgment until I actually play it. I’m still going to play it because I want to experience the story and lore.
And honestly, I still want to be able to play as Trevor after beating the main campaign. That’ll be awesome.
@Konami Even the atmosphere leading up to the boss is missing for me. In Rondo of Blood and other Castlevania games, when you’re getting close to the boss gate, the music and atmosphere change and you immediately know you’re approaching something dangerous. It builds that tension.
