For anyone who didn’t get the joke:

A true DAO is not currently possible on the XRPL, as it lacks programmability, which is required for both the “Decentralized” and “Autonomous” portions of a DAO.

If you want to get a group of people together to discuss the advancement and development of the XRPL (ie. an Organization) I’m all for it. Heck, I’d even join.

But selling an NFT for access to a group (that doesn’t exist) would centralize said group from the jump, defeating the purpose implied by the name.

Don’t get me wrong, I like the IDEA of DAOs. Unfortunately history shows that eliciting meaningful participation is a huge struggle, which impacts governance.

If you want to sell an NFT to crowdfund a validator and democratize the validator’s vote by giving holders the chance to cast their vote on proposals, that would be fine too.

But it’s not a DAO.

TLDR: Call it something else, otherwise it’s just a well-intentioned but naive rugpull.
