We investigated. The harness was not letting it remember what it had learned.

We found that enabling two API settings tripled our scores with 6x fewer output tokens.

As someone who did a PhD in China this is great news for China and actually a little worrying for the US..

China did everything alone here. Before, China identified and trained extraordinary students; America attracted them, developed them and kept them.

It's why i did my PhD here in the school of Maths, so much better research, opportunities, facilities etc... I was the ONLY foreigner in 2019 but now there's much more.

These two medalists are from Peking Uni and will stay here for work. Nobody in China is attracted by America now because of their insane policies. Nobody is welcoming them.

China is identifying mathematical talent early, giving STEM enormous prestige, building elite training pipelines and creating institutions capable of bringing its best researchers home. Meanwhile, Trump is cutting so much scientific research and going in the opposite direction.
