👀 GitHub Actions - Parallel steps
Just gave it a try on our CI linting workflow
Super easy to set up
➡️ ~25% speed improvement
These are CPU/IO-bound tasks on a small/default runner
I'm sure the perf increase can be even more significant depending on steps

I have discovered $50 amazon photo frames to be the PERFECT home display screen
They can be rooted, updated to run a modern browser, have WiFi and can be powered from USB
1280×800 resolution with a nice touch screen
I detailed how to hack these yourself in my latest video

I’m a little embarrassed to post this since everyone else probably already knew, but @adamwathan just told me about this command:
𝚍𝚎𝚏𝚊𝚞𝚕𝚝𝚜 -𝚌𝚞𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚗𝚝𝙷𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎 -𝚐 𝙰𝚙𝚙𝚕𝚎𝙵𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚂𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 -𝚒𝚗𝚝 0
Log out and back in. I've basically been living with a blurry film over my XDR display for years. 😭
Last conversion of the Campfire from my token stash goes to JavaScript/Express. As with the others, I'm sure you can find more to optimize. But this gives you a sense of what order of magnitude these options exist within with agent-led development. https://t.co/UUapL99SJE
My god this is such a good speech that every SWE needs to hear. You know what? Every person should hear it
Keep the happy memories, eyes on the reality, be excited about the future. That’s the best that anyone can do
Jev Founder, Diogo Almeida (ex-OpenAI):
"The next era is not the Claude Code or Codex era, they are still part of the assistance era with human in the loop - JEV is what comes next for LLMs
x200 faster, x400 cheaper, 0 hallucination, no human in the loop - that's JEV, this is how LLMs will look like"
in 36-minute tech talk, Jev Founder explained why RLHF isn't a thing anymore and how modern LLMs will be built
this talk is worth more than a Stanford Machine Learning degree
watch today no matter what, then learn how to become a Jev Engineer in the article below
⚠️ Be extremely cautious when someone suggests replacing a dependency with another
Example: a dev proposing to migrate hundreds of repos from an unmaintained lib to his maintained fork
image-size ➡️ image-size-next
No npm/GitHub/X history apart from that
🚩 Red flags 😬
Building SPA-like experiences with Next.js
With 𝚌𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎𝙲𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜, the data behind a page can persist across navigations, so a revisit skips the loading fallback.
Mark the read with '𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚌𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚎' so its result is cached instead of re-queried on each render. That cache also persists in the browser, so revisiting the page reuses it without hitting the server again.

New skill: /apple-design
Apple’s WWDC videos are a goldmine of knowledge. I’ve combed through my favorite ones and came up with 17 design and motion principles.
Use them to review existing work or when working on something new to get it right.

Claude Code and Claude Design now sync both ways.
Run /design-sync to pull your design system into your repo and build against your real components, or push what you've built back into Claude Design and keep editing on the canvas.
https://t.co/uNXS9jEgpg is Next.js for agents.
I built Next with a simple premise: 𝚙𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚜/𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚡.𝚓𝚜 is all you need. Put some React in there and you’re good to go.
Eve asks for even less. 𝚊𝚐𝚎𝚗𝚝/𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚛𝚞𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜.𝚖𝚍. Put some English in there and you’re good to go.
Like Next, it embraces the filesystem. You can guess what 𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚕𝚜/𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚛𝚢-𝚍𝚋.𝚝𝚜 does. An agent is just a directory, whose entire spec fits in the tweet below.
And like Next on Vercel, it’s seamless to deploy. The infra, like Sandbox, Gateway, Workflow… is the output of your creation.

Finding a new beautiful workflow with AI where I'm leading and doing 80% of the work and letting it fill in ~20%. It's incredibly efficient.
Letting AI lead the work in most cases just creates a ton of churn and context loss.
Cursor (and coding agents generally) still blows my mind daily. Just today:
1. I shipped a new landing page. I gave a 10min voice note to Cursor, left to go eat dinner, and came back to a 90% finished version. Made some small design and copy tweaks and merged.
2. Had Cursor dig through Search Console and Semrush with computer use, researched places we could improve SEO, and then merged 3 PRs with fixes.
3. Used the Supabase MCP to pull thousands of emails from the Compile waitlist, had it research them with web search based on ideal fit for the event, and got back a CSV with the top people to invite and why.
4. Updated an internal app I built for doing company-wide surveys (think Typeform but Cursor branded) in a few hours before our All Hands.
5. Had a few agents researching furniture I'm hoping to buy. They searched the web for a bunch of variants and then made a custom shopping cart (just an HTML page) with images, prices, links, and tons of details. Super helpful.
I don't do this every day, of course, but it's still wild to me this is the new normal for what someone with a computer and AI can do.
Most of these were running in the cloud as I was between meetings, just humming away in the background. I could check the app (🔜) to see progress and merge PRs. What a time to be alive.
(P.S. if you extrapolated my usage today, I'd still be on the $200/mo plan)
Cloudflare has acquired Vite / VoidZero
Void is vite's fullstack Intertia-like framework.
This gives Cloudflare control over the entire stack. They have all the primitives from frontend/backend framework, linting, testing, formatting, JS runtime, db, kv, inference, blob storage, access, etc...
smart move. A tidy package they can hand to an LLM to make a site.
Claude Code feels completely different once you install this.
Anthropic quietly released an official plugin called claude-code-setup and it basically turns Claude Code from “pretty good” into an actual AI dev environment.
It scans your project and recommends:
→ hooks
→ skills
→ MCP servers
→ subagents
→ automations
Then sets everything up step-by-step for you.
Most people are using Claude Code completely vanilla…
which is why their experience feels messy.
The real power comes from the ecosystem around it.
Install:
/plugin install claude-code-setup@claude-plugins-official
