Some days just punch you in the mouth.
On these days, it can feel like you just took a step back.
It can be difficult to pull yourself out of the mud.
But ask yourself:
Did you execute your process?
Did you learn something you can factor in for next time?
If so, is that really Failure (capital F)?
Or is it failure (lowercase f)?
The latter - those micro-failures - are how we learn.
The best can reframe these tough days, identify the lesson and make the adjustment for next time.
You either win or you learn.
Every year college baseball has pop up dudes that very few people recruited out of high school.
Pitchers that were average velocity dudes in high school with athleticism and quick arms that are now mid 9's.
Undervalued and underrated dudes out of high school that turned into impact players and or All Americans and or draft picks.
It's called recruiting the dudes that will continue to trend up.
It's called recruiting makeup, work ethic, toughness, maturity and aptitude.
It's called recruiting the right kids.
Devastatingly sad news... another member of the Palestinian National Baseball Team, Mustafa Ahmed Tafesh, has been martyred in Gaza.
Our team has lost several members already in the genocide.
Our deepest condolences go out to Federation President Ahmed Tafesh and his family.
