I tell them what happened and without missing a beat, they say that if I remember the name of the U.S. Marshall they can get their supervisor to connect me.

I get a call from a number I don't recognize (and unfortunately my line of work occasionally involves calls from numbers I don't recognize.) and it's a guy telling me that someone used my Amazon account to order a $1000 iPhone.

I've heard this one, so I play along.
