@mollyhannahm I wish I could say SGA… but I feel like TLOAS is Harden: not at their peak, some think it flops too much, but every few tracks/games they remind you they still have that signature step-back and are an undisputed HOFer
@DevineGospel This is the energy we need. Our Padres doomers are obnoxious. 1.114 playoff OPS, 2x Platinum, 6 WAR in ‘25… fans saying “trade him” on a $24M/yr steal contract is so amateur. It’s May. Stars slump all the time (Cal, Judge, Turner, Roman this yr). Take a breath, he’ll be fine.
@Casualty01@danielrpopper Most evaluators are in line: in this R1, ~25 picks are consensus top 32. There are outliers… but reaches rarely hit. Flip side, consensus guys may fall but are graded high for a reason: ASB, O Brown, W Johnson, N Dean, B Branch, DeJean, DK etc. Missed opp to add A+ value at G
@JessNoFace Roman >>> Staley > Kaeding > McCree > McCoy > Lynn > and now Jim tbh… Harbaugh also deserves criticism. He was terribly conservative all year and in a road playoff game ie 4th/4 punt from NE 49 end of 3Q was atrocious, bad clock management etc plus Jim insisted on hiring Roman
@RyanDePaul 100%. Truly feel we’d be a top AFC SB contender (right there with BUF/NE/DEN) if we had Slater and/or Alt (unlucky) or Hortiz invested some of our $60M cap space or draft into OL depth (self-inflicted). But Hortiz got complacent with 11 W’s. Big missed opp in a wide-open AFC
@KBNESPN @espnkylew@ESPNMilwaukee@ESPNMadison BUMP. Caleb is a weakness? lolol... two game winning drives and two absolutely perfect TD passes *chef's kiss*
@getnickwright@FTFonFS1@DannyParkins Now that Nix/DEN won, you’ll have no excuses for Mahomes, right? No blaming KC’s OL for pressures or penalties - L is all on Pat bc “Nix outplayed Mahomes”… am I doing this right? Ignoring it’s a team game while LAC OL gives up 50% pressure + run D allows 200yds? @DannyParkins
@MarinerMuse It’s an obvious intentional walk to Springer. One of the most clutch playoff hitters of all-time (3rd in go-ahead + total HRs). Let Muñoz (50% GB rate) face Lukes (730 OPS), play for a double play. If needed? Vladdy is 0-for-6 vs Muñoz. Insane decision to let Springer beat you.
@itsburgan@TooMuchMortons_ Lol holy overreaction. Tatis still has 1.114 OPS (top all-time, 50+ PAs), .317 BA, 6 HR, 12 RBI in playoffs = 51 HR pace over 162. His first down Oct. He’s 26, platinum glove, affordable star $24M AAV vs Soto $51M. Build around Tatis/Merrill, better lineup protection. Not a trade
@AlScott1998 Still not talked about enough, atrocious Shildt decision to PH for him in G2-3:
Sheets 669ops, Iglesias 660ops vs LHP
Sheets 735ops, Iglesias 601ops w/RISP
Sheets 2nd on SD in RBI
Lateral or worse move. Also, each time B Johnson had later ABs with RISP. Missed Sheets slug.
@TooMuchMortons_ Leading 1-0, it’s always so, so important to tack on that 2nd run for a cushion… especially with multiple RISP chances. We deserve this loss. Atrocious situational baseball
@alexinsdorf99 First time this year Minter’s defense + our safeties look really exposed... tbh it should be 14-10 DEN if Nix doesn’t miss a wide-open Mims on that flea flicker TD. Not a great end to the half at all
@TooMuchMortons_ If Pivetta locks down G1, I’d love to lean on our strength and run a bullpen game in G2 (Morgan/Wandy/Hart/Vasquez for 5inn). If it goes G3, start King with Cease/Yu in pen. Win G2 and we save King/Cease/Yu for MIL. Given our inconsistent SPs, I just trust our pen depth more
@DevineGospel The Dodgers sadly happened. Including his late-Aug collapse vs LA, Estrada has given up 11 ER in his last 10 IP (9.90 ERA). Clearly in his head right now… badly needs some Niebla magic.
@Pimp_Lord619 No one’s expecting a sweep. Just saying there’s no need to put PHI on a pedestal. Same as LAD or MIL... they’re elite, but so are we (super-pen, Tatis/Merrill/Laureano getting hot L15D etc). Any of those series are going 5 or 6-7 games, not some “different level” mismatch
