Absolutely no reason for the Biden admin to do this. It is indefensible and embarrassing.
The admin can still walk this back, and they should. It’s a disgrace
Brandon Johnson is elected Chicago mayor, defeating ex-schools CEO Paul Vallas in a major win for progressives and the Chicago Teachers Union. Johnson, a union organizer, former teacher and county commissioner, will succeed one-term Mayor Lori Lightfoot. https://t.co/R2MukpfwG3
@michaelsorrell With an unusual name, I expect it; however, I also intentionally use my email signature with *just* my first name and still get emails - with multiple replies - with misspellings. 🤬
Gov. Greg Abbott said Texas has been the No. 1 state for business every year he’s been governor, but that comes from one magazine’s ranking. Other well-respected sources have Texas ranked lower. https://t.co/MaT4ynbKYD
We were so lucky to encounter Amanda with @SouthwestAir 2356 today!! Our kiddo got nauseous right before we boarded our flight, and she gave us a great “airsickness kit” to help during our travel. She made sure to check on us - on 2 totally full flights - to make sure we were OK.
Picked up “Screaming on the Inside” on a lark at the library last week. @JessGrose is telling my story, in broad strokes - down to a 2012 baby at 30. Thank you for normalizing messy motherhood ❤️
Absolute serious question: besides negotiating power, what benefit does one net from being a/the holdout on these Speaker votes? At this point (or any point, I’d posit), no one is hailing you as a hero, patriot, or principled party… like, nobody.
@DrThomasDickson All of this! I'm watching new faculty lines being created and funded 🫰 like that 🫰, but we can't get academic advisors hired for MONTHS. My previous position is still empty almost 11 months later... and my co-advisor has taken on MORE programs since my departure.
.@keranews Greg Abbot says Texas has increased mental health services since the Uvalde shooting. I work for the Tarrant county mental health clinics, and we have received zero support from the state.
