For two years, a Charter Reform Commission studied how to make City Hall more representative, more accountable, and more effective.
Expanding the City Council. Ranked choice voting. Stronger police accountability. Housing decisions that aren’t driven by backroom politics.
Now, with the deadline here, most of those reforms are being pushed off yet again.
This is how change often dies in Los Angeles, with another delay.
Angelenos deserved the chance to vote on reform in November.
Hard to believe Spencer Pratt lost the election despite having no experience, being highly unpopular and running in a 4:1 democratic stronghold.
Makes no sense.
Los Angeles City 6/6 Drop
🔵 Nithya Raman – 23,514 (40.2%)
🔵 Karen Bass – 19,312 (33.0%)
🔴 Spencer Pratt – 10,336 (17.7%)
Raman’s rough benchmark against Pratt was 8.7%, so this is a 14-point overperformance.
Looks like a sub-15 minute wait at any voting center in L.A. right now.

If you are still considering voting for Huang, look at this poll and see what you’d be enabling by doing so.
Vote for Nithya Raman and send the message that Pratt belongs nowhere near elected office.
Lisa Rinna says she doesn’t want to see a reality star like Spencer Pratt as the mayor of Los Angeles:
“I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want me as mayor!”

LA mayor race on housing:
Bass sped up affordable-only projects but kept most neighborhoods off-limits to more housing
Raman wants faster permits and more neighborhoods to allow housing
Pratt opposes SB 79, disputes the shortage, and wants downtown construction.
Hollywood is key to LA’s economic vitality.
Under Mayor Bass’s leadership, film production has collapsed in LA. Over 40,000 jobs have been lost.
And things are about to get a lot worse unless the Warner Brothers/Paramount merger is stopped.
Hugo Soto Martinez said homelessness was down in Hollywood. An independent count shows that he lied.
Election Day is in less than 2 weeks. Vote for new leadership who will be truthful and transparent on the most important issue facing our city.

this tweet is for angelenos and angelenos only:
we don’t need our own malignant narcissist reality star in charge. & i like rae, but she doesn’t have a chance to make the general. the most important thing is keeping mr m*ga lite off the ballot, so vote nithya in the primary. ty
For everyone in CD13: I’m urging you to vote for Rich Sarian on June 2. I know him well and can say firsthand that he genuinely cares about LA and making this neighborhood better. He also has a track record of actually getting things done!
