@antidissident@tohofuny@faustianwigger A Senior DI from the platoon above ours came down and yelled at him for doing that and to get the platoon to chow. The DI threw up his hands told us to get dressed and stormed off to the DIs hut. Same guy told us he regretted being a DI in a moment of candor during the Crucible.
@antidissident@tohofuny@faustianwigger In the morning we dressed as a platoon one item at a time, “put your right boot on, take it off, put it back on, etc” I get it, they’re teaching us to act as a unit and follow orders. But our DI had us do it the last day, not out of fun, but just because he still had the power.
@mitchellvii The war has demonstrated that the US can no longer make these kind of statements like they’re imperial edicts. If it wants Iran to not have a nuclear weapon it will have to make a deal with Iran.
@_Cynical_Sailor@SprinterPress How’s that unconditional surrender going? Of the four stated goals how many have been accomplished? Why is the US making a peace deal that strengthens Iran? The US has failed, it’s best you start realizing there are limits to American power and make peace with it.
@_Cynical_Sailor@SprinterPress There’s nothing the US can do now that it couldn’t do four months ago. The US is militarily incapable of defeating Iran.
@TylerRatcliff17@DavidBane1776 Like how the military is the DMV in combat fatigues. How it’s an asinine institution that wastes your time and breaks you as much as it builds, if not more.
@DavidBane1776@TylerRatcliff17 A multi trillion dollar economy is the true strength of the US military, and even that has shown time and again to have its limits.
@zyxnix@DavidBane1776@TylerRatcliff17 The military is full of little boys running around in fatigues. They get free food, housing, healthcare, their hand is held the whole time. Those who grow up are those that married, have kids, buy a house. Starting and caring for a family, is what makes a boy a man.
