Conceptually it can be likened to organising a large library into smaller, specialised sections 📚

Just as a library's sections cater to specific genres or topics, State Sharding subdivides the blockchain's state into several x-shards...

Think of each x-shard as a personalised blockchain, tailored to meet the specific needs of the applications it hosts 🏡

A notable feature of x-shards is their ability to charge rent for storage space used by applications, while also offering Rent Sponsors to exempt certain applications.
