Before arriving in South Africa, the Tunisian sports scientist achieved back-to-back trebles with Young Africans in Tanzania. At Pirates, he has been part of a period that delivered every major domestic trophy available, including three consecutive MTN8 titles, the Nedbank Cup, Carling Knockout Cup and a long-awaited league championship.

Holding a PhD in Exercise Physiology and Sports Performance, Gueldich's influence extends beyond the pitch through his work in elite athlete development, injury prevention, performance optimisation and education. Success leaves clues. Three trebles in five seasons is no coincidence.

The charges against him were that he supplies drugs to clubs on Florida Road in the CBD. They said the complaint came by email which he was never shown. The disciplary process never happened till today. Commissioner Baloyi probed him. He is applying for early retirement. This is sad. He'll be in retirement, with all his skills, while others are in prison. They are cruel. 💔
