My son was forced to use a train to school this year after i lost my business last year, he is 8. @PRASA_Group has far exceeded all my expectations with the "Scholar Couch", the pricing, the safety and the hygiene 👌. A lost school bag was successfully recovered after 2 days.
The Robe. The History. The Legacy.
The ceremonial robe placed on Chancellor Ikalafeng’s shoulders tonight was designed by Kimberley’s own @_ThebeMagugu_ , Africa’s first LVMH Prize winner.
Do you know how cool it felt to be able to safely stay at the beach until late and take the train home at 18:30 in the evening? Alone! Yay for @MetrorailWC extended hours and @PRASA_Group security! 🚊🚆#fixourtrains
No matter what they say, you’ll never convince me South Africa isn’t one of the best countries on earth.
Yes, we have issues, serious issues. But we also have beauty, heart, resilience and a people who refuse to give up. And we will win this fight 🤞
Where else do you get ocean views on a train ride for R20 return?
We’re worth fighting for.
🟡From 15 Dec to 11 Jan, PRASA is boosting security at stations and on trains across the Western Cape. Full-day services will run on Sundays and public holidays. Modern trains with CCTV, improved lighting, and better passenger flow aim to give travellers peace of mind. #Smile904fmNews

For years I thought our greatest shortfall as a society was emotional literacy, the ability to regulate feelings, communicate with clarity and navigate conflict without exploding. I was wrong. We are crippled by something more basic, literacy itself.
Too many, even with post-matric qualifications, cannot read to comprehend. They skim. They snatch at words that trigger them, without processing meaning, tone, or context. This results to knee-jerk outrage, combative discourse and the slow erosion of sensible reasoning.
A country starved of both emotional literacy and reading comprehension cannot function.
This double deficit explains our paralysis. We speak much. We shout ever so often. We stay perpetually angered, but rarely understand.

HOLLYWOOD BETS and BETWAY are funding and sponsoring everything in sight. Our children are once again being set up to sink. As if alcohol is not excelling in this regard.
When government finally chooses to wake up to the devastation and erosion caused by online gambling, we will be told curtailing its visibility or banning it will “come at a cost to the country because jobs will be lost.” The same recycled bull dust they use to justify every piece of nonsense.
Meanwhile, families are being gutted, paychecks disappear into apps, domestic violence owing to financial mismanagement is on the rise and the social cost is mounting by the day.
This country’s lackadaisical posture towards things that actively harm society is exhausting. As a country, we truly are a child headed household.
