Picture—Northerners are definitely reaping what they’ve sow.
To begin with, the former president Buhari said in 2018 that the military attack on Boko Haram was an attack on the north.
One of their kinsmen told us that Boko Haram are their brothers; they shouldn’t be killed like pigs—Pantami.
They also remind us that Boko Haram and bandits are northern freedom fighters—Adamu Garba.
And what about bandits doing business—El Rufai?
Nigeria Should Negotiate With Terrorists, Bandits, And Stop Wasting Billions Of Naira On Jets, Guns To Fight Them, - Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Gumi.
Did we all forget how Ado Aleru, a notorious bandit leader, bagged the chieftaincy title in Zamfara?
Coupled with their Almajiri ideology, Northerners often have numerous uncared-for children, making them vulnerable to terrorist and bandits recruitment.
So in a nutshell, there’s no reason to be sympathetic to the north because they’re the architects of their problems!!
This is the Governor of Ebonyi State Rt Hon Francis Nwifuru.
He took this picture with his wife and son in 2010.
In the year 2010, he was a bricklayer in his village Izzi.
Then, in 2011, a man picked him up and sponsored him into being elected as a member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly, where he later rose to the position of a speaker. He found favor with the then governor who chose him as an APC governorship candidate, and today, he is the governor.
I learned that he wrote the Senior School Certificate Examination while he was a member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.
Nwifuru later enrolled at Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, to study Building Technology and Woodwork. He furthered his education and obtained a Master's Degree in Procurement, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management from Salford University, Manchester, United Kingdom, in June 2021.
If anyone had told his wife that the man he married as a bricklayer would become a governor in just a few years.
Despite the fact that her parents trained her in school and also despite the fact that she is from a well to do family, yet she married a poor guy who was molding bricks for a living.
Be inspired by this story. Tomorrow is too great. Don't look at yourself based on what you are currently going through. A year is enough for your story to change, and keep pushing.
