It looks like Eigenlayer is another project that's left me feeling milked. 🤡

It's just further proof of the harsh reality we're dealing with when it comes to airdrops lately.

I staked 17e for months, And while 785 $EIGEN tokens isn't the worst, the way they're distributing the airdrop is really disappointing…

According to their model, we'll be able to claim 90% on May 10th, and the remaining 10% a full month later.

▫️While claiming 90% initially may not sound too bad, there's more:

To add to the frustration, the tokens will be non-transferable initially, so we can't even sell if we wanted to. lmao

It's pretty clear they'll list on Binance right away, but we won't be able to transfer our tokens there to sell. It feels like a slap in the face!

Also, I did some quick calculations based on their $165M raise at a $500M valuation, and I'm expecting an FDV of around $15B, similar to $W.

So, With a total supply of 1.67B $EIGEN tokens, that would put the listing price at roughly $9 at $15B FDV

But honestly, the price isn't even the main issue. It's the fact that Eigenlayer seems to be just another project taking advantage of the airdrop hype to benefit themselves.

This is just another example of how projects are using airdrops to build hype, attract users, and raise 100’s of millions, only to leave us holding the short end of the stick.

I mean ask yourself honestly: Would you have restaked your ETH on Eigenlayer without the Airdrop/Points system?

If the answer is no, then that's your answer. They're capitalizing on this and preying on our desire for free money…

This whole 90% initial claim and non-transferable tokens for months is a complete and utter shitshow. 💩
