The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum says Minister Hedayatullah Badri met with Shaher Al-Taqi, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Delta International Company, to discuss potential investment in Afghanistan’s oil and gas exploration, development and extraction sectors.
According to the ministry, the CEO of Delta International described discussions with the ministry’s technical teams as positive and said the company is ready to invest in Afghanistan’s oil and gas sector in the near future if an agreement is reached with the ministry.
Both sides emphasized continued talks and the expansion of joint cooperation.

Afghanistan considers such cooperation to be in the interest of the Muslim world.
Mujahid also described the recent border clashes with Pakistan as a "local issue" and demanded its resolution.
