@DadisFIRE So started off as simply a means to build wealth and then later once it “worked” decided to sell?
I started with a goal of 100 doors (sole owned). Got to 78 and then started selling about 3 years ago. Down to 26 now and still selling. Left banking in 2019 at 37 yrs old.
@DadisFIRE Why the push to pay them off only to turn around and sell them? You’d done the heavy lifting to optimize your cash flow by eliminating debt service. How many properties did you get up to/pay off? How did you go about selling them? Incrementally (manage taxes) or all at once?
@DadisFIRE Ah! KC? I have a good friend that is a rental investor in KC. Him and his wife both able to leave 9-5s.
Give example of bought for? Sold for? 75% financing? How did tenants/you pay off so quickly? Must have been intentional.
@Smartnetworth1 I’m working on it. Had a goal to have 100 doors. Got to 70 something. I’ve been selling the past few years. Down to 25 and continuing to sell. Can’t wait to be done.
