@KIN110UofR Pls share. More companies are appeared to be environmental friendly but it is interesting to learn they might have just been sending a false impression and "greenwashing" their companies. This article shares some tips of how to spot greenwash. https://t.co/1rYaSa8e9z
@KIN110UofR please share. This is a video launched by IOC earlier this year to help address plastic pollution. In the video it recognizes problem and pollution sport events cause, but also encourage to use the power of sport to reduce plastic waste. https://t.co/KrQM6mGIXy
@KIN110UofR please share. A new research posted about #doping Researcher found teaching athletes morality in sport can reduce doping. https://t.co/GdOottqUM4
@KIN110UofR Hosting sports mega-events has become a strategy to show a nation's soft power, and further its #internationalinfluence. Here is an article about how sport events such as Rugby World Cup showcasing UK and attracted more tourist to the UK. https://t.co/eobmGJKtpv
@KIN110UofR Here is a great example how government policy could affect sports. It is also a great example of how the pandemic has impacted sports. https://t.co/adB7BFV3KH
@KIN110UofR please retweet. On the topic of #LGBTQ athletes in the media, this years 2020 Super Bowl sponsored ads (Sabra hummus) included two “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alumni’s. This raised controversial emotions in fans. Over 1 million moms associated a petition to boycott the game.
@KIN110UofR Another thought related to the news is about pro-player's salaries. If though Klay Thomson has been out of the court for a long time, he is still making a very decent amount of money. What is everybody's thoughts? Is it fair to other players?

@KIN110UofR This news reminded me our early topic about how professional players are in such high risks of getting injuries. The team should probably pay attention to athletes' #mentalhealth after they got injured.

@BorzelSalzl @KIN110UofR Thank you for sharing! This story is a great example of violence related to sports! I watched the movie about her story and it was indeed very crazy.
@KIN110UofR Please share. This article discusses some issues in sports medicine. It is quite long but it not only includes issues such as use of performance enhancing drugs but also recreational drug use, diabetes, and sudden cardiac death in sports.

@KIN110UofR please retweet. This article listed 21 “terrible” fans behaviours. Do you think they are all deviant behaviours? https://t.co/IkslS6wM96
I understand everyone needs a way to release their stress, but sometimes I found we are more willing to tolerant deviant behaviours in the pro athletes.
Dr. Hoeper mentioned MJ's gambling issue in class as a #deviantbehaviour. In Last Dance, i feel Dennis Rodman's behaviours are much more crazier: he did not show up to practice multiple times, "disappeared" before important games, and had alcohol issues. @KIN110UofR
I understand this was a once in the lifetime thing, and if his teammate and him did not care and willing to also isolate themselves after meeting him, that was not a big problem. But as a pro athletes and a role model, he should set an example, at least dont show it to public.😅
@KIN110UofR This article is a nice add-on to our topic about race and ethnicity. I especially like the part that talks about how the pandemic affect sports participants especially for those from diverse background. https://t.co/etpMpC88Y5
@LA_Rams10 @KIN110UofR@emma_benko@Patel_1812 I would pick B. I agree with Ben. The parents have the right to decide how to parent their children. However, I would talk to the kid and let them know some other opinions which are different from their parents. They may not understand right away but I plant a seed at least.
@Morgan08632584@KIN110UofR I totally agree with you Morgan. The reason saying "risk of injuries" makes no sense to me. Like you said, every sport comes with the risk of injuries and banning some people from participating does not reduce the risk at all.
@KIN110UofR please retweet. World Rugby just announced to ban trans women from elite women’s games due to risk of injuries. I wonder what’s your thought about this. https://t.co/Ie6lYNqPGI
