@YinzhuH Hi Yinzhu. I do think these two phenomenons are correlated. With the rise of social media and entertainment in the past 10 years, the newer generations grow more entitled with spoon fed information on their iPhones. People don't need to work to find their news. #UWJ201
@pessefed Hi eddie. I think this ban of political ads could rub people the wrong way in the sense of mimicking a sort of censoring, however, I think it is a very niche way of expressing twitter's support for the people. #UWJ201
@taraodonnellm#uwj201 maybFacebook needs to provide a disclaimer, just how cigarettes have warning labels, Facebook should have a warning label being like, “we cannot conform the information in this broadcast is factual. Please take this into consideration” It would make ppl step back to think
@Gracie77702889 @sooyunkim_#uwj201 hi Gracie, I think social media would be a great way to promote easier polling in areas where voting isn’t a priority, most of the population is on social medi so I think it could do at least a decent job having public opinion
@NathanEvers10 @ATveleneva #uwj201 hi Nathan, I think this is for the worse because platforms like Instagram and Facebook are known to generate content that they think you will relate with. Is this the the information we have want to see, but most usually not the info we need
To see and can lead to bias
@DernCharlie I think journalists have the incentive to make their titles click bait because depending on the firm or institution, the more clicks, the more money. I think as readers we need to take this into account and read the whole interview to glean any real information #uwj201

@jensenpatrick_ Hi Jensen, to answer your question, I think late night talk shows are generally not that helpful in communicating serious topics such as politics because, dependent on the talk show, that talk show has a following and a specific demographic that the host caters to. #uwj201
@Marthabekerr I think it’s most important to be factual rather than fair. Especially in America where there are so many different takes on issues because of our immensely diverse population.
Currently pondering the biggest advantage to living in a mediated society... I believe it’s accsessability and globalization, however, it seems as social media connects us it also separates us. In what ways does living in a mediated society divide us? #UWJ201
