Bobi Wine demands military exit after Gen Muhoozi says ‘we killed 22 NUP terrorists’
Bobi Wine’s whereabouts remain unknown despite an informal 48-hour ultimatum from President-elect Museveni’s son and army chief, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba. https://t.co/2kKM8jhKea
Uganda's opposition leader Bobi Wine has told the BBC he will not contest Yoweri Museveni's 2026 election victory in court, citing a lack of confidence in the judiciary. He has instead urged his supporters to take to the streets to peacefully protest.

SHOT AND KILLED BY THE REGIME:
Mumbejja Ndagire from Kabowa is among the victims of Uganda security brutality. She was shoot to death while protecting president @HEBobiwine’s DR Forms.
Last night as Museveni’s son was making these threats to kill me and gloating over killing 22 of our supporters (in reality, he has killed over 100 since last week), the military who are stationed inside our compound yet again banged my house doors as they sang profanities, ordering the occupants to come out of the house if they're men. The people at my home say the criminals seemed to be drunk.
We demand that the military vacate our home immediately. My wife and people are not safe. They're starving after these criminals blocked food from reaching them. They cut the padlocks of our gates and replaced them with chains. FREE UGANDA NOW.
Naye mweeee I thought these people WON??
Where are the celebrations, kubanga??The way Muhoozi cannot stop obsessing over @HEBobiwine is actually embarrassing. Eiishhh.
If you’ve truly “won,” why is Bobi Wine still living rent-free in your head, tweeting you into a frenzy?
"Without more teeth and follow-through by international actors, Africans are doomed to be treated as third-class citizens by the ruling elites and their supporters.
As the military clamps down on ordinary Ugandans desperate for a political voice, and a choice for change, you have been warned of the bloody consequences. Silence translates into complicity in the vote rigging and brutalisation of opposition on the continent, as it did with the Tanzania elections.
Such silence only entrenches and fuels dictatorships and the decline in democracy." - H.E. Ian Khama, former President of Botswana.
Thank you very much, President Khama, for not choosing silence at this profound moment in history.

Video showing Electoral Commission officials ticking all ballot papers in favor of Museveni at a polling station in western Uganda. This is what Museveni and his criminal system call an election! We campaigned. We voted. We tried to protect our vote but the criminals arrested or abducted many of our agents and officials. The only recourse is for the PEOPLE OF UGANDA to reclaim their voice. That is why we called this a PROTEST VOTE.
Please keep those videos coming in - and all other evidence of the theft that took place on the 15th.

ABOUT BUTAMBALA: It is a dicey situation which I believe the President gaslighted to attempt to buy time. Even though the @igp_ug1 of @PoliceUg tried to cover up for @MODVA_UPDF operational mistakes, an honest assessment of what happened needs to be undertaken.
These are a few facts:
1. People were shot & killed behind a garage door at the home of @MuwangaMKivumbi
2. 6 of the dead have already been buried in Butambala & most of the people inside that Garage were from Butambala
3. From eyewitnesses and video footage, there was no attempt made to arrest these individuals prior to shooting.
4. The attackers were in UPDF attire and when they arrived they demanded for DR forms.
5. Kivumbi lost the elections.
6. Police have not released a detailed list of the dead and upto now some people are unaccounted for in Butambala.
These are key deductions and allegations:
1. Earlier in the evening, there was a scuffle at the police station which involved Kivumbi's supporters.
2. Kivumbi's supporters allege there was some vote rigging that was happening at the police station.
3. No road was blocked or property destroyed during the scuffle at the police station.
4. It seems Kivumbi's garage was being used as a NUP tally centre for Butambala.
5. DR forms (not pangas) were taken away from Kivumbi's garage.
6. Police were not involved in the operation at Kivumbi's House.
Questions:
1. Why is @PoliceUg and the President insisting the people shot were not from Butambala? Even if they weren't, why were they shot? What was the threat?
2. Where is the full list of victims?
3. Why were people in UPDF attire demanding for DR forms?
4. For a scuffle that happened at around 9:00 pm, why raid Kivumbi's house close to 4:00 am?
5. There were people inside & outside the main house. Why shoot people inside the Garage and not others?
6. If it was a legitimate arrest, why was the police minimally involved?
