Pasadena Officer Shot by Fellow Officer During "Horseplay," Chief Says
PASADENA, Calif. — The Pasadena Police Department has released a Critical Incident Video concerning an officer-involved shooting that occurred on September 7, 2025, inside the department's parking structure at 240 Ramona Street in Pasadena. The incident resulted in injuries to one Pasadena police officer, who has since recovered.
Pasadena Police Chief Gene Harris said the incident involved "unsafe, out-of-policy horseplay involving loaded firearms" between department personnel. Chief Harris stated that one officer was wounded as a result of the shooting and emphasized that the conduct depicted in the video did not reflect the department's standards or expectations.
The injured officer was transported for medical treatment and has since recovered from the injuries sustained during the incident. Pasadena police have not publicly identified the officers involved, and no members of the public were injured.
The case remains under investigation and review by the Pasadena Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

@GregAbbott_TX was super quick to ban eid event and threaten park for selling tickets, yet doesn’t have the balls to go after company displaying such blatant racism and groups sponsoring this.

JUST IN - Trump appoints Pam Bondi to White House AI panel. Bondi will be tasked with facilitating coordination between the government and AI companies on the panel. Bondi will also serve in a newly established advisory role on national infrastructure.
I think David is celebrating too early. During crypto boom there were hundreds of ICOs, dotcom well the name says it everyone had a dot com. The actual value of AI has not been realized yet and it might be way less than what is being projected.
Q: How are job postings for software engineers rising rapidly despite AI agents automating coding?
A: Because there’s far more code to manage than ever before. We’re already seeing a 14x YoY increase in GitHub commits, and it’s accelerating.
AI has dramatically lowered the cost of writing code, so it’s now being used across far more businesses, applications, and use cases.
We’re at the beginning of a massive productivity boom driven by the proliferation of bespoke software throughout the entire economy.
Coding has been AI’s breakout use case this year. The fact that it’s increased demand for software engineers — rather than decreased it — should call into question the entire “AI will cause mass job loss” narrative.
xAI’s GPU fleet is running at about 11% utilization, exposing how hard it is for AI labs to fully use expensive Nvidia hardware.

I will bet 💰! This will be a repeat for BYD moment of AI chips. US gave it away on platter by blocking chips and not letting these companies develop dependencies on us.
As you go to work today and settle into the week, please study the form below. You will soon need to fill this out EVERY year and tell the government what you own and then allow them to tell you how much its worth.
That is the framework that is enabled by the Trojan Horse "Billionaire Tax" that is trying to get passed.
Give them credit: they cleverly use Billionaires as the hook, but build in the language and the framework that will allow the Legislature to simply extend the tax to everyone and make it yearly.
And this is where the form below comes in...
In this case, ask yourself, will it be you or the Billionaires that will be able to fill this out properly and avoid penalties.
As much as Billionaires can be pushed to do more for society, we all know that they have the infrastructure to manage these kinds of disclosures...middle class Californians do not and they will be the ones that get penalized in the end.
Hahahaha this is EPIC! TIP 🤣😂🤣
This reaction of every leader once OpenAI or Claude gives them tour. Yet I’ve been burning tokens to make a vector store work correctly.
Some Miami hotels are reportedly replacing front desk staff with remote workers in India, with guests now checking in on a kiosk with overseas representatives.
I use both Claude and Codex. Every time I use Codex I appreciate how well designed the subagent system is. Claude is doing all kind of weird mombo jombo with console and Codex casually hires a good designer to do it the right way
