@ChadWitko@AlvaroAdventure Timing of AOS is a bit early for typical LIGU dates in SW ON in August (towards end of month). Best to keep track of sightings & if one happens to turn up early, go for it. I'm on ON RBA Discord server and attending AOS, so if one turns up, I'll come and find you and tell you.
Today we saw a QUARTER MILLION warblers fly past Tadoussac, Quebec. >85,000 Bay-breasted Warblers, and >50,000 each of Cape May and Yellow-rumped Warblers. Full details, photos, and video here: https://t.co/7E1IEM1ouh

If I needed fewer reasons to be on this platform anymore, why @xcanada do the same tweets just keep going by over and over again as I'm scrolling? It's like watching an episode of the #Flintstones.
For atlassers in the Boreal Shield, it's a great time to take a stroll after dark to listen for the hoots of the #GreatHornedOwl as they are re-establishing territories and attracting mates now. Report any breeding evidence; we are in the safe dates!

@ChadWitko I'd love it if @Team_eBird would create a map that's the inverse of my sightings map. Instead of mapping what I've already seen by state/province/country, seeing where there's potential for new year/life birds would be awesome. It could be in colour, like Hotspots, to plan with
@emilyrondel@LFDLCanada We built one and put it on our front lawn. It gets used A LOT! The better the book selection you provide the more people use it and replace the books they borrow with other good books. If not a source of reading material, it's certainly a curiosity for many folks walking by.
@GowElizabeth @ECCCSciTech Cool! I'd be curious to hear how successful this approach is. We've done several projects using colour bands on birds in winter in Ontario, but have extremely low reporting rates of resights, especially foreign ones (not at original banding location).
