@ShowMe_Pod They see the beauty that the World Cup brings but then had to make it about them. It would’ve been a lovely clip if the part about them hosting every WC hadn’t been there.
@Jaereku@KuroNoirr Wait is that recent ? I don’t really follow fandoms but for years I’ve never really come across too many “noisy” ReZero fans but recently I feel they’re getting more obnoxious. I thought I just wasn’t too exposed to them before
@meloncrab Both shonen and shoujo tend write their love interest as this perfect flawless figure that does everything right. Which is probably great irl but incredibly shallow as a character in a story. Unless you want to self-insert yourself in the wish fulfilment story
@09dawg No disrespect to the sport but Haikyuu certainly brought a lot more people into volleyball. Football doesn’t need Bluelock for that.
Not to mention, from what I’ve seen, Haikyuu fans don’t pretend to know better than volleyball fans which is not the case for most Bluelock fans
@mldiffley It’s a gamble.
Choose a side and commit : Good chance to save if you guess correctly but no chance if they go the other side.
Stand your ground and observe where they hit : Easy save if they hit it middle or a bit centrally but no chance if they hit far to the sides
There’s definitely more hype around Japan than most teams, but do people really expect them to beat Brazil ? It’ll be more of a shock if they did win it. Japan are good but they are still a few levels below the giants.
Developing a team around the philosophy or mindset of Blue Lock is just ridiculous. But you definitely need a “Blue Lock striker” in the team but also someone to keep him in check, as ironic as it is
“Why aren’t women showing up for Supergirl like they did for Barbie if it’s for women?”
Probably, at least in part, because men have made engaging with superhero media a miserable experience for women for YEARS at this point. We are tired of the culture war. A lot of the women who are seeing it aren’t talking about it because we get flooded with miserable comments if we do.
I think part of the reason Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel and the The Force Awakens did well was because women were not yet overexposed to the relentless misogyny in these spaces.
I’ve been a sci-fi fan and I’ve been reading comics longer than most of these fucking rejects have been alive and it’s hard to talk about.
@eriksgrafs@StephenFPI@UtdMaI 6 in a group. Means 3 out of 6 would get eliminated. One or two teams would probably be guaranteed elimination by round 3. Which defeats the purpose of OP’s “keep the drama”
