every time i read takes like 'fic writers are too weak to accept criticism (and bc of that they'll never be good writers)' i ask myself what degrees have those people that give them the right to critize other's fics.
Write ANYTHING. Starting is hard, don't worry about the finish, you have forever to edit and clean up your prose but you'll never get there if you don't write something first.
If you have ideas just write anything, even bulletpoints or explaining lore/world building.+
Write weird fics. With all of the AI fics out there, now is the time to write something truly weird that only you could think of. Write an unusual historical AU or a niche kink. Write about your job or your hyperfixation. Write something new and weird and human.
Neurotypicals refuse to understand that IT HURTS
I don't "dislike" loud noises, THEY HURT
I don't "dislike" bright lights, THEY HURT
I don't "dislike" when people ask open-ended questions when I'm overwhelmed, IT FUCKING HURTS !!!
They never believe me. They refuse to open their minds to things they cannot experience themselves. It's always "how can asking a complex question when you're overwhelmed cause genuine pain" and I DON'T KNOW. MAYBE IF RESEARCHERS LISTENED TO AUTISTIC PEOPLE WITH THE GOAL OF UNDERSTANDING RATHER THAN "CURING" US THEN I WOULD HAVE AN ANSWER FOR YOU
The fact that artists and writers feel the need to constantly clarify their moral stance because of fictional content they create/enjoy is genuinely sad.
Learn to separate fiction from reality. No one is responsible for curating your media consumption except yourself :/
