🌎 What would Earth look like from far enough away?
Not a world of oceans and continents. A single point of light.
That's all any telescope will see when it finds a living planet around another star — and the reference for reading that light, for knowing what it actually means, doesn't exist yet.
MARBLE is how we build it. The SETI Institute's first space observatory will study Earth from lunar orbit, measuring our own planet the way astronomers will one day measure someone else's.
Today, we launch the campaign to make it real.
Give $100 or more, and your name will be laser-etched onto a film carried aboard the spacecraft. All gifts are matched up to $50,000 through September 30.
Are we alone? Let's go find out.

Here is Part 2 of my talk at Burwood on August 1, 2026.
You will learn here, that both UFOs and crop pictures are due (in part) to advanced alien races "crossing dimensions" from their to ours.
Simply looking for strange craft flying through our skies, is analogous to "seeing the trees" but not the "forest".
🤡🛸Likewise for the "dark matter" enthusiasts!

There is more than meets the eye in this photo…
The ring around the central galaxy cluster is evidence of dark matter, the invisible glue holding the universe together. Dark matter doesnt emit, reflect, or absorb light, but it has gravity like ordinary matter. 🧵
Here you can see how the alien crop-artists draw a "magnetic field". Compare our movie 1, with their images 2 and 3? Their physics is not our physics!
We call it "B" and talk about Maxwell's equations. But this is what it really looks like. They don't teach this anywhere in the schools.
It is a swirling vortex with two opposite spins at its North and South poles. What goes down around the outside, comes back up the middle!
Now you can understand why the induced current in any wire coil, as it approaches a magnet, goes in opposite directions when approaching North versus South poles, where the swirling motions go in opposite directions.
A "spin" at either North or South poles induces a "counter-spin" in the approaching wire coil by Newton's Third Law. Total spin angular momentum tries to remain conserved. That is how it works.
All of our electromagnetic generators work by this simple principle, but they do not explain why it happens.
Now you know. It is just Newton's Third Law of Motion. It is not something else thsat you should memorize without understanding.
Better to learn physics from aliens, than from Great Professors in our Schools. 🥳
#ICYMI: On this week's #SETILive, @SimonSteel89878 and @pascalleetweets celebrated the 50th anniversary of @NASA's Viking 1 lander touching down on #Mars, and they talked about the controversial Labeled Release experiment results and the possibility that we found life. Friendly aliens seem to be comparing "UFO levitation" (slides 1 and 2) to the "rising of air" at the center of a cyclone or hurricane. By means of clockwise spin, followed by upwelling, and outward spreading of air at the top (slide 3, red arrows).
I will try this in an experiment soon, using 3-phase magnetic forces and space, rather than the Coriolis forces and water!
In each case, rapid spin creates a region of low pressure near the center (by the Bernoulli effect), into which air (or space) from a region of high pressure below, can enter and cause "upwelling".
Rise up, my friends! If this works, we will no longer be "chained to the ground".
Airplanes also generate low pressure over their curved wings, as they move forward by the horizontal force imparted by a spinning propellor.
#PPOD: A Picture-Perfect Volcano 🌋
As of June 23, 2026, NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (@LRO_NASA) has spent an incredible 17 years orbiting the #Moon, and the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Camera (LROC) has been hard at work ever since.
This lunar #volcano is so ideally shaped and is evidence of ancient explosive eruptions of highly silicic magmas in the Moon’s distant past. There are multiple areas on the Moon where explosive eruptions have occurred, but none is as picture-perfect as this one! This volcano is 0.6 km high and about 7 km wide at its base.
In this image, the spacecraft was rolled so that the cameras would view it from the side, better showing its shape (rather than looking straight down at it from orbit).
