This past week, I became a dad.
I never could have guessed the profound and emotional impact it would have on me.
I love this little girl so much, and I want nothing more than to make this world a better place her.
Check it out! We even show a sweet demo (powered by a phone hotspot) of real-time collaboration in (Jupyter) Notebooks while training/tuning large machine learning models from a notebook backed by GPUs. The future is bright!
@andreyvelichk + I shared our vision for the future of data science at KubeCon '23.
We're calling it "human-in-the-loop" data science at scale—a harmonious blend of people + machines working together to answer our big questions about the world around us.

https://t.co/B1sEXEmwIh (serves ~70% of Binder sessions) runs out of credits in a week. We'll divert traffic to other members of the federation, but it may be rocky for a bit. More info below.

Ever since I joined MathWorks, I've been bugging everyone there about a @MATLAB@ProjectJupyter Kernel. Last Friday, @MathWorks released it.
Here's my blog post describing it. https://t.co/zjdEeer8Nj

Exciting news about JupyterCon:
The long-awaited conference is back in the spring of 2023!
We can't wait to bring everyone together for the return of this conference. Dates and location will be announced soon.
We are pleased to announce the release of nbgrader 0.8, the first version of #nbgrader supporting JupyterLab.
Check out our article on the @ProjectJupyter blog.

We enabled Dask schedulers to run Jupyter servers. This enables users to launch Jupyter notebooks from any Dask deployment.
This was trivial because Dask and Jupyter both run Tornado web applications (hooray ecosystem!)
This shared history is because I used to chat with @minrk
At dinner tonight we were looking over the menu while talking to @JustinThomas34’s parents about our child on the way. His dad asked us what we were having. While I said boy, my wife said pasta. She’s gunna be an amazing mom
🚨 Excited to announce a new release of ipytone, a big one and the first “public” release!
More details below 🧵
But let’s start with this little piece of music made entirely in a @ProjectJupyter notebook (+ some “waving topography” made with pyvista / ipygany). 🔊🔊🔊🌍

Hey all! Jupyter community calls need to be rescheduled. All my ideal times are taken, so this seems like a good time to check community interest.
What cadence would you prefer to have future Jupyter community calls?
