He may never return to the player he was.

But @KevinDeBruyne is the player who has influenced my life both as a footballer and as a person. He is the one who changed everything for me. He changed my whole life.

There were times I watched football only for him. There were moments when my life felt broken and hopeless, and he was my source of happiness, inspiration, and motivation.

It breaks me to see him tormented by injuries like this. But I’ve seen it all. I’ve seen what he’s done for my club. What he’s given us, the City family.

I will always be thankful I witnessed him play. That I saw him serve the club I love, with all my heart.
