Serbia has become the main base for Russian intelligence services to carry out sabotage activities in Europe, reports Le Monde.

By 2025, Serbia had become the primary center of Russian efforts to destabilize Europe. Three Serbian citizens were convicted for throwing pig heads in front of mosques in Paris, as well as for attacks on the Holocaust Memorial and three Parisian synagogues in May 2025.

The court ruled that the group received orders and financial resources from Russian intelligence services.

They also organized other actions, such as posting stickers calling to honor the memory of the Armenian genocide victims in Paris in April 2025 and placing plastic skeletons in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin in July 2025.

The goal of these actions was to incite religious and ethnic hatred, as well as to politically destabilize France and Germany.

Additionally, in September, Moldovan police arrested more than 70 citizens of Moldova and Romania who were being trained in Serbia for participation in riots ahead of parliamentary elections.

Nothing has changed since then. The aggression, atrocities, and terror continue. What are the grounds for easing restrictions? There are none.

I reiterate Ukraine’s call on officials of all countries to refrain from attending the inaugural ceremony of the Paralympic Games if the immoral decision on allowing Russian and Belarusian emblems is not reversed.

I once again thank Italy for its support of our shared principles, clear moral stance, and excellent organization of this year’s Olympics.
