Yesterday, history was made — and the LGBT Quran got a glitter makeover: On the Holy Sunday of LGBT Muslims, we celebrated the very first Christopher Street Day in front of the Kaaba in Mecca. No parade floats, no music, just barefoot love in a circle. We danced. We sparkled. We queered the Tawaf around the Kaaba.And honestly? Even some regular conservative Muslims joined in. @HolyKaaba meets @RegenbogenKaaba – Mashallah with glitter! Pretty sure even the folks from @MInteraktiv or @genislam1 would’ve busted a move.
